Does “All Good Things...” make sense?

The "vibe" I got from Q from this episode was that this was no a game, but rather a real test on humanity (or at least Picard)...
All Good Things...
"Picard: I sincerely hope that this is the last time that I find myself here.
Q: You just don't get it, do you, Jean-Luc? The trial never ends. We wanted to see if you had the ability to expand your mind and your horizons. And for one brief moment, you did."

I think all the tests Picard and the Enterprise were put through were real. In AGT the 'logic' of the anomaly was consistant within the contrived triple-reality that the Q/Continuum created to test Picard's (and by extension, Humanity's) abilty to conceive of and understand the paradox.

Even if 'All Good Things...' doesn't make perfect sense at something, it doesn't have to. It is such an awesome episode and awesome final episode it's almost unreal. What a perfect way to wrap up the series from 'Encounter at Farpoint' to the final episode.

I loved how Q at the end was ready to spill the beans to Picard about what life's all about....

Oh, yes indeed the storyline is full of holes, put that never put us off.

We've always viewed it as a 'love letter' to the fans to end the series and the entire production crew giving the show a real stylish, big production send-off with loads of little touches to give you that feel-good factor while having fun themselves.

I was never a fan of the episode. I don't like time travel, I don't like Q, so there was no way I was going to like "All Good Things..." Also I always found that whole "Trial of Humanity" thing silly (again, where's the trial of the Klingons? Trial of the Romulans? Trial of the Kazon? Trial of the Cardassians? Trial of the Borg?) Also when people complain about Burnham having too much importance on DISC, Picard literally saved humanities existence here.

The Q put the Klingons on trial and the Klingons killed them like the rest of their gods.

Question is just how many of the future projections can still happen? The Klingon invasion of Romulus is out now, unless you're not counting the JJ films and Picard?

Nothing we see in this episode "has" to happen. For all we know, the whole thing was a Q-generated illusion.

No, I'd still think the Klingon invasion of Romulus projection was aborted due to what we know is to come and some unseen incidents. Worf moving to DS9 for instance and the Dominion War being two at least! :rommie:
