    Same here!

And. AND. I argue both have good stories and great character arcs.

Watching the film again I never realised everyone in that alternate Earth was wearing some sort of headgear. I wonder if that was a thing in a earlier draft that was taken out.

No Way Home was fucking awesome. It could have easily fallen flat, but they threaded that needle very, very well. (Also, I'm a big Spider-Man fan. The 90s animated series was my introduction to Marvel, so perhaps I'm biased.)

This movie... It was middle-of-the-road. I probably won't rewatch it multiple times, like I have Shang-Chi, or the first two Captain America movies. I haven't seen any of the Patrick Stewart!X-Men films in a loooooooong time, so that cameo didn't have much weight. The Captain Carter bit, though... I've watched both the Agent Carter TV show (which I liked very much, second only to Agents of SHIELD) and What If...?

I ended up not caring much about WandaVision towards the end, and I haven't even seen the first Doctor Strange movie, so, again:

I guess I'm a minority in that I thought No Way Home was very flawed on the border of mediocre when you deduct nostalgia points, and that this movie was far better and one of Marvel's best so far.

I liked No Way Home a lot and I have zero nostalgia for Garfield or Maguire. But I do think MoM is even better.

I'm probabably biased as well, as I have enjoyed Spider-Man since the 90s cartoon as well. I liked the first Spider-Man movie, enjoyed the second one and couldn't stand the third one. I didn't like the first Garfield one and really liked the second one. I find Holland's Spider-Man to be closest to the 90s cartoon.

My eldest really loves Tom Holland's Spiderman. My wife was indifferent. We all had fun.

I just rewatched the film again and noticed a few things I didn't see the first time around.

In the temple at Wundagore there's not just a carving of Wanda but also much smaller carvings next to her and a brief close-up made it pretty clear that one of those is Wiccan/Billy, so I assume the other one is Speed/Tommy. Also, when America tried to fight Wanda in the end the first portal she opened up - before showing Wanda to Billy and Tommy - opened into a literal hellscape. Plus Chthon is referred to not just as a demon but as 'the FIRST demon'.

Not conclusive, of course, but I'm more convinced than ever that there are plans to continue Wanda's story from here and quite probably in a big way involving a literal trip to/stay in hell itself.

Also, I didn't notice Stephen finally bowed in Wong's presence at the end. That was sweet and fun.

But I still really hate the Bruce Campbell bit. Oh well.

Remember seeing his leg decomposing when it was stabbed at the very beginning? It's because of the monster stab wounds.

    Probably.

It had a good story that took advantage of the 'fan service'.

It wasn't 'gutless'. Whatever that means.

What story? "Gotta catch all the villains"?

And then Strange points out how Peter didn't need to make the world forget him, he just had to contest the decision of MiT and they'd let him in.

That's the story in a lot of comics. And it did it well.
