Do you watch Enterprise on Tuesday nights?

Well, I don't own any ENTERPRISE DVD sets so right now Sci-Fi is my only option to catch the series unless I download episodes online, which I usually don't do with any show.

I honestly don't understand how anyone who has DVD's of any show, can watch TV...
I can only tell you how that works at our house. We have a TiVo, where one can easily click through the commercials -- and it's honestly easier to choose a program from the TiVo menu than it is to hunt for the DVD's and load them in.

Plus, the TiVo goes out and finds whatever program you want. Couldn't be easier. Only difference is video quality; we are watching most stuff this way on the HD channels. There's no thrill in watching regular video. DVD's are better in that respect. And the ENT DVD's look very good indeed.

Years ago we had this idea for a "DVD-o," where we could load all our DVD's up into a TiVo and access them from the screen. We actually looked into what it would take for the hardware for this idea, but never implemented it. Then we heard, of course, somebody came out with something like that; but we're still loading our own DVD's so far.

I just happen to be watching Enterprise for the second time with my wife for her first time (trying to get her up to speed enough for the Las Vegas Trek Convention next month). We're only about 6 episodes in doing one or two a day.

I like having dvds so I can throw in any eps that happen to want to watch. I mean scifi never seems to get past season 2 when it changes time slots and starts over with season 1; so I like being able to watch eps I enjoyed in S3 and S4! But thats me! Oh have fun at convention.

I've been ripping and compressing my Star Trek DVD's to iTouch/Zune resolution and quality. Even that takes 500 GB for the 5 series and 10 movies. Plus, you want to keep more than one copy because hard drives can fail. But it is handy to watch an episode on the laptop or portable player while sitting in a hospitle room or airport terminal. You have to pick and choose what you are have loaded at any given time.

At home I will always choose DVD over a ripped file, but if an episode of Star Trek, Star Gate or NCIS happens to be on and I run across it while channel surfing there is a good chance that I will stop on that channel.

I plan on watching ENT tomorrow night(the 29th)...unless Sci-Fi isn't going to show it and has already pulled it from Tuesday nights. Have they yet?

Looks like original first run episodes of Eureka will take the Tuesday night 9PM EST slot. They will be showing old episodes of Eureka for a while in the other Tuesday night slots. Not sure how long that will last.

Eureka does take over tomorrow night; next time we get Enterprise is August 29th and then it returns to the scifi lineup in September:

That sucks. I was looking forward to a fix of ENTERPRISE this evening. Oh well. At least it'll be back.

For the record? EUREKA sucks balls.

Well once they bumped it to tuesdays for TNG, you kinda had to know the writing was on the wall. To be honest, I'm surprised it ran as consistantly as it did, for as long as it did.

To each his own. I p[ersonally think Eureka is the best of the Sci-Fi channels 'original series'. Very well written characters, entertaining stories and situations; and I think it's done better than Stargate SG-1 (from the poin Sci-Fi took over production); Stargate Atlantis, and even Battlestar Galactica.

Eureka's previous season had an an overall arc running through it that was very well executed and interesting/fun to watch.

But again, to each his own.

I try to, as more often than not I'm home on Tuesday nights after seven or eight o'clock. But if they're subpar Season 1 or 2 episodes strung in a row I skip most of 'em.

Yes, I do......but if I'm not home, I can always record them on my DVR.:techman::)

We need another all-day, 12-16 hour ENT marathon. The three or four best from each season.

Wish they'd run the entire Xindi arc from, like, 8-8 over a Saturday and Sunday. I'd record the whole thing (too cheap to buy those outrageously priced dvd's)

Or have a four-day marathon. Devote one day apiece to, say, the six best of each season.
