Do you think we might see enterprise under Pike on the show?

Nah, It looks like its sitting on a flat surface with the ship's texture applied to it.

Well, if you want to be literal about it… But where's the fun in that?

Only near/at the tail end of the series. Otherwise enjoy your Small Universe.

I would enjoy a Pike send off or cameo. I think it would be a lot of fun and might result in a spin off depending on popularity.

This is the kind of 'redesign' I would have liked to see in the Kelvin universe...

I personally wouldn't mind seeing that. It'd be an extremely nice way to connect DIS with TOS seeing as DIS is meant to be 10 years before TOS. Makes perfect sense and wouldn't mind seeing two new actors playing young Kirk And Spock.
If the Enterprise is to be see it may very well be under the command of her original captain Robert April at this point and that would be fun to see.!

^ actually by the time DSC takes place, April has already handed over the Enterprise to Pike. We have no idea what April did afterwards, although he didn't have to retire; we could see him as a fleet admiral or something.

Oh and if so, I vote this: Michael Palin as April. :techman:

April's chief weapons are surprise, fear, ruthless efficiency, and an almost fanatical devotion to the PD.

Blimey! I didn't expect the Starfleet inquisition.

Per Memory Alpha, he was a Commodore/Ambassador from 2250-2270. He's around.

Maybe we can see Kirk, Spock and others assigned in Discovery for some time before they move to the Enterprise.

Very true. We already know that Sarek is going to be a regular too. It's not difficult to imagine that they'd cast Pike somewhere down the line. I think that anyone from TOS except for Kirk, Spock and Bones is a potential future character.

Kirk or Spock, but not both, and certain not together.
Pike was in command of the Enterprise thirteen years before the first season of TOS, by the time of DIS a different captain might have been in command of the Enterprise.

Kirk said he met Pike when he took command of the Enterprise, not that he took over command from Pike.
No one expects the Starfleet inquisition.

OMG !! To an old (yes really old) TOS fan, that is truly amazing. It's faithful to Jefferies epic "Big E" and looks modern and sexy at the same time. Lets see DSC ships with this general design ethos !!

In The Menagerie, Part I, Kirk specifically says of Pike, "I took over the Enterprise from him."

The Cage was 2254, and Where No Man has Gone before was in 2265. That is only 11 years.
