Do you think they will bring back Micheal Scott for the last episode?

I bet he would return for a series final or maybe even do a couple of episodes. Granted I think the show will end with Dunder-Mifflin being shut down but I still would like to see what he has ben up to up in Colorado

Who knows?

This isn't the show's final season. The writers could end up taking the program in a direction where him coming back isn't the best finale. At the same time, Carrell could be at a place in his career when they do film the finale where he's unavailable, even if willing to participate.

Similarly, by the time the show is ready for shutdown, a different ending than "the company closing" might present itself.

I think it wouldn't be right to end the show without Michael making an appearance. And Dunder-Mifflin shutting down seems to be the only possible ending left with endings such as Jim and Pam getting together, Jim and Pam getting married, and Michael leaving have already been used. Although, they could have the final episode be the Office characters watching the airing of the documentary on them and the impact it has on their lives. Now, that would be interesting.

Why? In real life, people move away or quit their jobs and you never see them again.

Take one of the best episodes of "ER", the one where Dr. Greene dies. The staff gets a letter from his wife describing his passing. Dr. Carter, justifably choked up, puts the letter on the staff bulletin board with a "we'll never forget him" type of comment. The show then "fast forwards" while the letter gets more ragtag and ignored over the months, until someone finally (if accidentally) drops it to the floor while putting up another announcement about flu shots or something.

The point is that people move on and not everyone comes back like TV show is high school and we need a reunion.
