Do you think the people who make ST take any notice of this board?

Producers of Enterprise used to post to this forum. Leonard Nimoy posted to this forum a long, long time ago. Rick Sternbach frequents the tech forum.

They would be fools not to visit the fan boards. It's a way to get a pulse on what the fans are thinking...and we are what they are doing all this for.

And would you please get your facts straight. Roddenberry had a close relationship with the fans...he has since the very beginning. He solicited scripts from fans for TNG. He named Geordi LaForge after a fan he was very close to. The painting that hangs in Picard's ready room was painted by a fan and Roddenberry requested it be put there because he was "honored to be thought of".

He always listened to the fans...he hasn't always done what we WANTED him to do, but he always listened.

I am happy with all the ST I have seen so far, apart from Voyager, which was done to a questionnaire, from what I hear, and it showed.

Though ST11 was a little hard to get used to. But, I am confident with the people who are doing it. They have to strike out a bit on their own.

I'd love to know what GR would say about ST now!

Some of us believe the writers for FRINGE have peeked in now and again. They've used a couple of memes that have gone around in the TOS caption contest. There's no way "Nude Jumping Jacks" would have made it into Fringe without them frequenting the board!!

Ron Moore once mentioned Trek BBS in one of his BSG podcasts as one of the forums he lurks at to see what they think of the latest BSG episode. Which isn't too much of a stretch. During the first two seasons of BSG, if you did a Google search for BSG forums, Trek BBS was actually on the first page of results. Not so anymore, however.

We've had quite a few of production related folks here. Mike Sussman, Michael Oukda, Rick Sternbach come to mind. Hell, William Shatner himself made two or three posts here back in 2001 or 2002 to promote his website.

It was 2002. I remember because I was a n00b, and it was a big deal. Most people thought he'd had his assistant do it for him.

Michael Oukda and Rick Sternbach were the first ones to come to mind for me. But, I'd be willing to bet that very few actors have not googled their names to see what pops up. I'm pretty sure most actors have come across this board at least one, even if they didn't post.

This is upsetting because they are the friendliest of writers. ;)

At least it wasn't Ass Rubbing McCoy, Carl Spock, Grignak the Fish-looking Coffee Asswipe, or even Running Spock.
