Do you think Moriarty is still in that cube

He is. But the cube is sitting on the floor of the Enterprise wreckage on Veridian III, growing verdigris all over it.

Eventually, the cube's internal power pack will die, or it will succumb to entropy, and within the hologram universe, a vast cataclysm will crush Moriarty and bride to death in a horrible manner.

Still. At least he got "out" of the holodeck for a while, eh?

 

Unless a Borg cube picks up the energy signature, glides over, collects then assimilates the Moriarty program, and he's now unleashed. But the assimilation process warped his program so now Borgiarty there goes by his nickname, "Niles", and treats every drone just as the same as he does the Queen and CC Babcock.

 

^ The real danger though would probably come from Countess Borgolomew. Beware the nice ones. With a name like Regina she could even ascend to be the new Borg Queen...

 

^ That'd happen only if she found out that Moriarty had the hawts for Dr Pulaski. That's the in-universe reason he never mentioned her in the season six sequel. Borgiarty would have that revealed faster than Peg Bundy using Al as an egg timer despite her never making breakfast!

 

Next seasons PIC could start with LaForge thinking he is on Veridian IV but hes actually on Veridian III and and old foe will pop up and swear revenge on Geordies old captain for marooning him on the planet

 

He's in there, trying desperately to Meave his way out.

 

Do you think there would be any way for Moriarty to get out of the cube if somehow he found out where he really is?

 

It's feasible, at least in so much as he could infect another computer system. As I surmised in my other thread. It's actually possible he previously escaped his program in the Enterprise holodeck's memory storage, by using his brief moments of consciousness over 4 years, to manage affecting the holomatrix itself, with the left handed glitch, that tricked them into reopening his program, which seemed to be all he needed in order to gain control over his own program & the holodeck itself.

The glitch seems to have come about either deliberately by him, or inadvertently from the ongoing protected memory of his program, hence why that's immediately where Barclay went to fix the issue. His program was the likely source of that glitch. So he either concocted that scheme to get them to deal with him again, or he opportunized, when the chance arose, on the turn of fortune, that his program was having detrimental effects on their holodeck.

I lean toward him deliberately doing it, after having learned how to affect their programming, while he was in there & having moments of consciousness. That explains why he could control himself & the holodeck immediately after being brought back. He'd already established access in some way

The sad truth is that in the time since... there has been found a way to let him leave the program, & apparently no one is telling him, or offering it

 

Moriarty did a switcheroo again and everyone is in the holodeck except for him
