Do you think Dr Korby was having sex with Andrea?

Personally I do, why else would he build her to be so pretty? And even if it was just coincidence at first there's no way he'd be able to resist no matter how loyal he felt to Nurse Chapel.

Yeah...he had 'droids to move heavy objects and such already...I think a quick look makes it clear what she was built for. This subtext is played with pretty effectively in the episode.

Yes, I think Korby was having sex with Andrea. When Kirk tried to kiss her, Andrea resisted and complained she was "not programmed for you," inferring she was programmed for somebody else. Ruk? Brownie? Not likely, IMO.

I'm amazed the question even needs to be asked. It's kind of like asking, "Do you think Harry Mudd was swindling people?"

Besides, he built her himself, no doubt to his own specifications (since she doesn't look much like Ruk). No coincidence involved -- her purpose is crystal-clear.

Hell, I'D do Andrea. Even if she had Frankenstein bolts coming out of her neck and light bulbs for eyes.

In the first draft of the script it is noted that Korby, when rebuilding his own robot body, gave himself a penis 13-inches long and as big around as a Coke can.

That adds a bit of weight to her line. It'd be like Kirk was throwing a pickle down a hallway.

If Andrea weren't flipping Korby's switch, then there was much more wrong with Korby than him no longer being human.

I was around 13 when I first watched that ep, and naive as I was back then, even I realized what Andrea's "purpose" was.
