Poll Do you intend to watch SECTION 31?

Do you intend to watch SECTION 31 when it is released?

I’m going to watch it but I’m not that optimistic. I’d love to be wrong! But the trailers and early reviews/buzz aren’t good.

To paraphrase: in order for me to care about a review I must first value the opinion.

There are very view reviewers I trust, and certainly not many on YouTube or other click driven economics. The die is already cast against Section 31 so the only way to judge it is to watch it.

It's frustrating in a way because the bias seems so skewed: are you actually going to watch Section 31?

How can Trek survive after Section 31?

Kurtzman hates Trek; that's why he greenlit this movie?

On and on.

That was very vague, even coming in knowing it was not a full review. It was bad like show X from franchise Y.

Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but it’s kind of telling – but certainly not surprising, coming from someone in Burnett’s orbit – that he compares it to two panned female-led shows. It’s a small wonder he was able to stop himself there and didn’t also bring up The Marvels, Supergirl and the 2016 Ghostbusters for good measure.

By the way, what’s the “origins cinematic movie” that’s being referred to there? EDIT: Ah, found it. Some Star Wars thing.

This is what I saw! Thanks for finding it. I don’t know much about this dude but but some searching suggests he’s a bit…cranky…so probably need to wait for more reviews to get a true sense.
