I always have to be wearing my watch, unless I am sleeping or showering.
I always have a pen on me. If I reach into my pocket and there is no pen, I freak out.
My pockets always have the same things in them:
Right front - wallet and pen (and wine opener if I'm at work)
Left front - chapstick and keys
Left back - cellphone (unless I'm wearing cargo pants; then the cellphone goes in the left cargo pocket)
I always have to untie my shoes before I put them on. I can't just slip on shoes.
My pockets are arranged in a similar fashion. Wallet, phone, glasses cleaning cloth, and inhaler, when I have it on me, go in my right front, any pens or pencils go in the change pocket above that, and my keys go in the left front, along with any tissues I may carry with me. The only thing that goes in my back pockets,
ever are folded up pieces of paper that I may need to carry with me, such as lists, schedules, or a joke I found funny, and have printed out to show my friends. Even if I'm wearing cargo pants, I hardly ever use the other pockets. Also, the carbeener with my house key, thumb drive, the key to my violin case, and any discount card memberships I have, goes on my right front belt loop, and gets tucked into the right front pocket to prevent jingling.
