Do you have a cool ringtone?

I allocated various ring tones (m4a actually, cuz, y'know, it's Apple™! ) to my different contacts:

The default tune is Tenacious D's The Metal. Otherwise I have: Highway To Hell, Fling Thing (both by AC/DC), Steven (by Alice Cooper), Superman's Theme, The Ballad of Serenity, What Goes Around Comes Around by Nescobar-A-Loop-Loop (from My Name Is Earl OST) and No One Knows by Queens Of The Stone Age.

You can't kill the Metal!

Sort of surprised, sort of not, to see that I'm not the only one that has the Doctor Who theme as my ringtone.

Although, to be specific, it's not the default ringtone, but the one that plays when my wife calls. However since calls from her account for about 95% of all the calls I receive, it's the one I hear most. And I can still tell when it's her calling, or someone else.

My phone only cost 20 quid, and it only does the old style ringtones. And I ain't paying for any of that nonsense, so no, it just goes ring ring.

I feel I should add that my message tone is the Voyager door chime and when I get an email the channel open sound plays.

On my old phone I did, but sadly I don't know how to transfer to my new phone since I don't have a cable. I had a sound effect from Terminator 2 as my text message ring and I had the 24 phone ring.

When my wife or home rings I get part of the introduction to Night Of The Thumpasorus Peoples by Parliament.

Anyone else rings I get my favourite track off of Shanghai Advance for the GBA which I captured on the computer because I dig it so much.

My text message alert is the start up sound from the Defender arcade game.

Ah yes, damn people for having the audacity to customise their incoming call notifications. How dare they.

Somehow we got by for a century with our home phones just simply ringing.

And we got by for eons before that without phones, period. What's your point?

I see no reason at all people need to hear goofy, silly, tunes whenever someone calls them.

Good for you. Vote with your wallet.

It's a phone, not a jukebox.

Mine's both. Deal with it.

Seems like someone is trying to out-do you in the joyless cunt department there, Jim.

I use a Cisco IP ringer from 24. It's cool and it still sounds like what it is, a PHONE. Music ringtones are annoying and obnoxious.

I've been trying to find different variations of the Cisco IP ringer like the one you hear in the waiting room at a hospital but I haven't had much luck.

I can't afford a Iphone so I got the "fake-a-call" and modded my touch to include the metal gear solid codec ringtone

On rotation:
"Live Long and Prosper"
All along the Watchtower - Bear McCreary version
Looney Toons theme song
Theme to new Knight Rider show
Theme to Borat
Theme to the 60's animated Spider-Man show
Indiana Jones theme
Pulp Fiction theme
Guitar riff from Desperado
"America! F**k Yeah..."-- Team America
A few songs from the Robotech soundtrack
Hindu version of 007 theme (weird, but funny as hell)
Tom and Jerry theme

My ringer is a ringing phone, but my message tone is Majel's voice saying "Incoming message from Starfleet Command."
