Do you have a cool ringtone?

Since I got my new phone several months ago, I've been playing around with different ringtones. For a while, I was using the Final Five theme (Starbuck playing the piano) from BSG. Tonight, I decided to download the theme song from "Angel" and make a ringtone out of that. I've become slightly obsessed with "Angel" lately, and I just finished all the "After the Fall" comics that have been released. Pretty awesome.

My ringtone is the slightly faster paced variant of the Imperial March theme from The Empire Strikes Back used in the "Battle of Hoth" sequence when the AT-AT's destroy the Rebel's shield generator.

I have different ringtones for different groups of contacts. I usually get the funniest looks from people whenever my mum calls and the Godfather theme music starts playing. :D

On my Nokia N95 the general ringtone is Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix, on my Nokia 6500c it is Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) by Pink Floyd.

My ring tone is... a ringing phone. Actually unique enough to be notable, I find.

My message tone is the 24 phone tone though :D

The only phone that I own is the one that I bought in 1989, so I guess I have a "classic" ring tone. :rommie:

Sigh. Ringtones.

My phone just rings, well it plays the Nokia tune, but I don't need to hear "Baby Got Back" every time my mom calls me.

Ah yes, damn people for having the audacity to customise their incoming call notifications. How dare they.

Well, hopefully nobody would chose that ringtone for their mother. Or for anyone, really.

I'm not a big fan of ringtones of popular songs, especially with lyrics, but I don't see anything wrong with something instrumental.

Especially considering the Nokia tune is the most annoying and obnoxious ringtone ever to exist.

Somehow we got by for a century with our home phones just simply ringing.

I see no reason at all people need to hear goofy, silly, tunes whenever someone calls them.

It's a phone, not a jukebox.

It's the default and the other default sounds/"rings" the phone makes suck. I'd *only* consider changing it if I could do it to the 24 phone ring -still a "phone ring" and not some goofy pop song- but I don't have the capability to add rings to my phone. So  it stays on the Nokia tune.

The football team I support had a great victory a while back and the commentary of the goal that secured the win is used as my ringtone.

I have some Stargate alarm sound . . . I think it's the Midway self destruct sound
I usually have it on vibrate

And we got by for eons before that without phones, period. What's your point?

I see no reason at all people need to hear goofy, silly, tunes whenever someone calls them.

Good for you. Vote with your wallet.

Mine's both. Deal with it.
