Do You Eat Breakfast?

Personally I've never been a breakfast person. I know the old cliche that it is the most important meal of the day but I've never been a fan of it. I'll have something to eat in the morning if I'm up and hungry but it isn't a constant thing with me. I've made breakfast for others, and will make it for myself. I do like when I'm over at my parents and we have pancakes, or waffles. Or Christmas day morning we'll have a big breakfast. That being said do any of you eat breakfast, and if so what?

I eat only greek yoghurt with a teaspoon of honey every morning. And I mean every morning and only that. I find it good for my digestion :)

At work I tend to eat breakfast. I come in a little early and head to the cafeteria and make a small fruit salad of cantaloupe, honeydew melon, strawberry, and cottage cheese from the salad bar.

I don't . . . simply due to time. I usually wake up about 30-40 minutes before I have to be at work, and with my commute there really isn't enough time to get ready and make a meal
though sometimes I'll grab a granola bar, and I always have coffee :D

Breakfast is often my biggest meal of the day. I graze throughout the day and eat the smallest meal in the evening. I'd rather burn up my calories during the day and a big breakfast gives me a big jump start to the million things I have to accomplish every day.

I sometimes make big, family breakfasts on a weekend morning but I really never eat a breakfast on the weekdays. I get up at 5:30am and the thought of eating is just gross. Down side is that I'm always starving by noon. Its a dumb habit but my stomach makes me do it...

I love my oatmeal.
Oatmeal, big frozen blueberries (yes, they need to be frozen) and milk.
Almost every day of the week.

Accompanied with kid eating breakfast and asking questions such as "doesn't the blueberries make you coooold?" and a little after "Mamma, does the blueberries turn your tounge blue?"

Coffee is an essential for me...but I really don't eat breakfast. If I'm hungry before lunch I grab a banana or a cup of yogurt. Sometimes I have some oatmeal. But lunch is typically my largest meal of the day.

Almost never. But I do have a cup of coffee in the morning. (Just one, I don't sip on coffee all day like some people.)

I have two cups of (strong) coffee in the morning but no breakfast. Though I do sometimes eat breakfast while I'm traveling.

I don't wake up early enough to have breakfast before work, but I have a stash of food in my desk that I usually eat as soon as I arrive.

In general, I do not eat breakfast.

During the work week I try to eat some Greek yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, but don't always manage. I also don't generally eat breakfast on weekends either.

That is not to say that I don't enjoy breakfast food, I love eggs in almost all forms.

I always have breakfast; it's something I've just gotten used to. If I don't eat in the morning, I get very cranky and can't concentrate. But usually all I need is some toast and juice, or maybe some cereal, but nothing too heavy.

It's not a cliche; eating breakfast means you won't eat as large a lunch or dinner, and getting some protein and fiber in your body early in the morning can only do good things for the rest of the day. I usually roll with a slice of whole wheat toast and a hard-boiled egg, with some orange juice, before I head to work -- it's not much, but it's enough to keep me from over-eating when I go to lunch, and I feel better in the morning overall.

It means you don't need to eat as much, but well if you are used to a large lunch or dinner it's habbit forming!

I've really only started eating breakfast daily again in the past two months, before a 1 1/4 mile walk to work. Its had no effect on my other meals though.

Breakfast is important because it jump starts your metabolism for the day. Your metabolism slows considerably while you sleep, and if you don't eat something soon after waking up, it will remain slow throughout the day, and you will be more likely to put on excess fat.

Right, which is why I mentioned protein.

A hard-boiled egg is a great way to get that (I just cook up a batch once a week), plus some whole wheat toast or some whole grain cereal. It only takes 10 minutes in the mornings, and since I started that routine, I've started feeling a whole lot better until lunchtime. Works a hell of a lot better at keeping me going than coffee.

I try to eat something for breakfast every day, even if I'm short on time and all I can manage is grabbing a granola bar or something. I just feel sluggish all day if I don't eat something at the beginning of my day.
