Do Trek fans still consider TOS to be apart of the real canon?

The WHOLE idea of people going off in NAVY ships to explore worlds is SO IMPLAUSIBLE, and people debate about which uniforms or set decoration looks sillier?!

I can listen to Shakespeare though no one speaks that way now (or then -- iambic pentameter). I can watch old movies from the '30s: they're great, though movies look/sound different now. I appreciate TNG, though it's more dated now than TOS was in 1987.

Wow, people, take things for what they are. No space opera science fiction looks real -- it's all just a vehicle for storytelling. Take it as it is and enjoy the ride.

TOS is just as much a part of the old Prime universe as the later sequels and spin-offs.

Not that it really matters much anymore, now that we have a whole new timeline to play with.

Well, at the moment, the only ones allowed to play around in that new timeline are the goofballs making the movies...

People say that cell phones are more advanced than the communicators on TOS.

Bullshit, I say.

Captain Kirk's communicator could work in an elevator.

TOS will and always be the true Trek to some people what is it with some fans that they can just accept TOS and any other recineration?

Ha! Exactly! An elevator, a subbasement, a parking garage, or way out in the middle of nowhere!
