Honestly I'm kind of surprised.
It's so weird how "selective" people are about what they get outraged over and what they let fly.
I expected gunns old tweets to be just like some jokes that went slightly over the line and a bunch of people crying over nothing as usual but they were actually pretty damn vile tbh
He's got away with it though while others have lost their careers over words half as offensive

I do actually think his tweets are pretty damn bad.
Thing is, he did apologise for them. And in a way that’s shows he does understand what he did wrong, why it was wrong, and didn’t expect forgiveness just for doing so.
It leaves me in a position of ‘well, what else can I expect?’ Though note: I still think Disney are a bunch of absolute cowards, and their conduct through the whole thing has been shite. Including rehiring him once the ruckus calmed down/he switched to the competition/the success of Cap Marvel and Black Panther showed the likes of Cernovich don’t have the pull that they once did.
Plus he hasn’t repeated it in over a decade, plus I am kinda familiar with Troma. That sort of humour is very on brand for them. It’s what I kinda expected from a studio where Toxic Avenger is probably their most accessible movie.
Which is why I’m amused by who went after him for it. They used to be the exact people who’d scream ‘snowflake’ when ‘SJW’s’ would comment on something ‘un-PC’ like Bloodsucking Freaks or F-g Hag.

There's a difference between Gunns tweets which are genuinely vile and someone tweeting that an actress looks hot in a movie trailer and getting accused of "toxic masculinity" or some nonsense.
One is a very legit concern another is a ridiculous sjw "micro-agression" and snowflaking

And which part of the post exactly is it a response to? There’s a few points there. Explain the relevance of what you said, to what I said. Be ergonomical. Make it so every person who could ever possibly use this board, will see this clear and oh-so-obvious connection.
After all. One of the best ways to indicate that you actually have a clue, is that you can summarise your position.
