When did he apologize? It looks like he didn't apologize for them until there was heavy public controversy about them years later.
After the reaction they got in Vol. 2, I'm kind of amazed they didn't give us one already.
Maybe now that Gunn's back we can get one after Vol. 3, and hopefully we'll see them there too. Oh, and we need a third Howard The Duck cameo.
Or you could take @Awesome Possum 's advice and go to TNZ if you truly want a down-n-dirty type of discussion. Certainly, it can be used if that usage is directly associated with the topic, and provided the usage is in accordance with the other board rules
Otherwise, the politics is a no-no here. Any further similar usage receives a warning.

When he first got hired by Disney. I don’t think it was a big thing, I mainly remember because I’ve been a Gunn fan since his Troma days.
The word Tumor is misspelled in that GIF - per Arnold it's "Tuma"
It’s hard to find now because it was mostly mutterings in ‘SJW’ geek spaces like on Reddit, Twitter, etc, and the later controversy has shoved it back even further in the search results. But you can still find stuff like the GLAAD complaints about his online behaviour.
It’s almost like it’s lack of staying power and pop culture traction was because...the loudest voices in the whole mess didn’t care then. Disney certainly didn’t.

When it comes to this kind of stuff apologizing and admitting you were wrong does seem to go a long way.
I remember years ago when all sorts of people like Lindsey Lohan were spending weeks in the news following drug or DUI problems, Ty Pennington from Extememe Makeover: Home Edition got a DUI, and he apologized and admitted he shouldn't have done it, and that was the end of it.
It amazes me how many people don't seem to realize that that tends to be all it takes to put an end to the drama and don't just apologize.

I find it awful that some are incapable of understanding that someone can change for the better. I know I'm far from the person I was years ago, I'd imagine that many of us feel that way. I think it's something we should all want and it seems to be the basis for every single religion and belief. I just don't get why some find such a thing impossible. A person incapable of change should be pitied, they can never grow as a human.
This is all about Roseanne and them getting a pound of liberal flesh, nothing more. So they're engaged in comically over the top, frothing at the mouth "outrage", expending infinitely more time, energy and words castigating Gunn than people who've ACTUALLY molested children. That should tell you everything you need to know about where these people are coming from. They're not going to "forgive him" because they're still pissed about Barr.
