Disney characters with nipples

I remember a while back people were freaking out because somebody drew nipples on a Disney character for the first time. Hercules? Mulan? I don't remember, but it was one of the more recent 2-D animated movies.

Now, here I am, watching "The Little Mermaid" (what, a man can't Netflix "The Little Mermaid" and watch it by himself? :p ), and King Tritan very clearly has nipples.

So...what's the deal here?
I think it was "Beauty & The Beast".
I recall a behind the scenes Disney special saying it was the first Disney film that drew women(other than Belle, of course) with bigger breasts.

Actually, when Fantasia was originally released, all the female centaurs were topless, and had obvious nipples. Later, after the Hayes Office went off about it, the sequence was completely reanimated from the original cels, with an overlay of Hawaiian-style leis to cover their breasts. (For the uninitiated, the Hayes office was a government run censorship office that predated the MPAA ratings system.)

And how many people remember that Janice, (The girl Muppet in "Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem") originally had nipples poking through that tight tank top she usually wore? Remember, The Muppet Show was made in the UK, for ITV, and the Brits have always been more relaxed about boobies on TV than American audiences. Once the show was syndicated stateside, the complaints started rolling in from prudish American viewers, which eventually resulted in Henson's people building a "less detailed" version of the Janice puppet, which was used from series two on.

Hey.. if nipples advance the story i'm all for artistic freedom and freedom of expression :techman:

Disney is evil

Click on the first link. Look at the naughty things Disney has hidden in their animated films.

It doesn't help their case that at least two of those--the Little Mermaid penis and the S-E-X in the Lion King--are urban legends.
The word "SEX" does exist in the Lion King. You can see it when you slow the scene down. Even after the scene has passed, the very next one is Raffiki the monkey grabbing the same flower pedels from the wind, sniffing them and saying: "Simba!?!"

The point was not of "sex" but smelling Simba's pheromones on the flowers. Exactly how animals keep track of each other and their territory.

^ "Sex" is not written in the flowers, "S-F-X" is, as a tribute to the special effects team.

Although it is really difficult to tell, as the F trails off and almost forms the lower prong of an E. Really, the SFX team should have thought it through. People had been on Disney's backside for years about "decency" and they pounced. As for myself, it could say "SEX", "SFX" or "Stu's Corner Deli" and I wouldn't care as I think it's still a damn good movie. :D

In the prime universe, The Lion King still exists, In the alternate universe, The Lion King was destroyed by Nero's black-hole weapon only 10,000 dvd copies of the Lion King survived.
