I would expect it to be at least as close to the shape of the refit as the original was. If they're going to change the shape, they might as well make the refit more plausible as a modification of the original rather than less.

A bit like this perhaps, but with a far more detailed texture.

Far, far too retro. It looks older than the NX, No way is this newer than the Walker.

Nacelles aside, it's nearly identical to the refit. Certainly, I agree that it doesn't fit with the other ships in Discovery though.

It’s going to have round nacelles. If it wasn’t they would have changed that on the Defiant diagram

Mad koi fish one please
The Gabe one is nice but that secondary hull has a lot of unnecessary carve outs and angles

I love Gabe Koerner's saucer and hull texture, but I prefer MKF's refit style secondary hull [over Gabe's]. I like the JJ-style turbine Bussards, but I don't like the JJ-style nacelle hoods that both ships have. Put the nacelles from the Defiant wireframe on either of them though, and it's a winner.

I like this lighter shade. I see now it is the usual darker grey that makes it appear dated. Grey makes it look muddy and drab but this would really pop against dark space.

I can definitely see this design working immensely well with the established design aesthetic of DSC.

Looks more JJ then Discovery. Especially those Bussard collectors.

DSC's bussards do not look like that.
