Are we still talking about Trek at this point???

... I'm speechless... (These people really think Burnharm changed her haircut at least 4 times and made her hair grow to her shoulders in less than a year?)This seems like a good time to share that I had the extraordinary experience of meeting a real-life person recently who told me Discovery was canceled in 2018, and they're just airing leftover episodes now. Somewhere out there, people are reading our satirical comments and nodding in vigorous, sincere agreement.
people were injecting themselves with horse dewormer a short while ago so at this point nothing surprises me...... I'm speechless... (These people really think Burnharm changed her haircut and made her hair grow to her shoulders in less than a year?)
I'm wondering if people like Midnight's edge or Doomcock really believe in all these nonsense or they are doing it only for the views. It's sad in both optionspeople were injecting themselves with horse dewormer a short while ago so at this point nothing surprises me...
Of course they don't. They're just taking advantage of idiots to make money. Do they like anything new? Nope, just the old stuff. So they can rage and rant about anything and everything, and middle aged white men and young incels will eat it up and get them ad money.I'm wondering if people like Midnight's edge or Doomcock really believe in all these nonsense or they are doing it only for the views. I'm sure they don't, it's just that enraged fandom brings views and thus money. It's not happening in star trek only, by the way, the same is going on in the star wars fandom and even in areas totally different, such as apple products.I'm wondering if people like Midnight's edge or Doomcock really believe in all these nonsense or they are doing it only for the views. I don't doubt they pretend to hate these shows, but they're also not cool enough to like them either. They strike me as the type of people who'd like to see a Macho Asshole Star Trek (they'd love NuKirk in the 2009 Film if they allowed themselves to). The stuff they think is cool, but really isn't. So I genuinely can't see those types liking Discovery Season 4 which wears its feelings on its sleeve, something like Prodigy, or a show about someone in his 90s like Picard. If they ever claim to like "The Inner Light", they're lying.I’ve seen people claiming that some of the Hate-Youtubers confessed in private that they actually LIKE the new Trek shows and only pretend not to like them because Youtube’s algorithm brings more clicks (and thus money) for outrage videos with titles in all caps than calm and nice ones that state facts.
It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was true.
That might not be the best example given it's a wig...... I'm speechless... (These people really think Burnharm changed her haircut at least 4 times and made her hair grow to her shoulders in less than a year?)

I think they're what I said: not into these shows, but saw something similar to Star Wars, spanning three generations of content, with a fandom who feels similarly about each.
Original SW Trilogy and Original ST "Trilogy" (TOS, TNG, and DS9... plus VOY, "but that's for girls!")
Prequel SW Trilogy and Prequel ST (ENT)
Sequel SW Trilogy and New ST (Disco, Picard, etc.)
Not the way we split up generations of Star Trek, but that's how they'd convert it to fit the Star Wars mold. Then they just plug in the same formula and played up hatred for the most recent material.
If they treat Strange New Worlds like they treat The Mandalorian, it'll be almost 1:1. Didn't a lot of Fandom Menacers love Pike during DSC Season 2? I like Pike too, but they seemed like they were almost orgasmic about him.
I see what you're saying. And yes they were somewhat lenient regarding Pike (although they did complain about him being “constantly questioned and yelled at by women”, which is interestingly but not surprisingly the same nonsense they spread about Jean-Luc in PIC), but I expect for this to change once SNW comes out. They won’t make nearly half as much money through videos with good feedback, after all. They’ll change their tune, it’ll go from “let’s be cautious about this…” to “Okay this is seriously not good what are they doing to Pike” to “This is NOT MY TREK, they are turning him into a [nonsensical sexist insult here]”. It’s more or less the road they took with Jean-Luc in PIC, although they’ll have less to go on here since Pike wasn’t as much of a main character as Jean-Luc. They’ll therefore adjust their approach slightly but in the end I very, very much doubt we’ll see them praising SNW.
That makes sense. Lower Decks reminds them of TNG, which they think of as Star Trek's The Empire Strikes Back, and seems to embrace it. Plus it spoofs Star Trek and they love spoofs. Whereas with Picard, it's more like "MOCK OUTRAGE!!! What have they done to Picard?!?!! It's like the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy!"Not sure about this: they *do* tend to praise LDS and their Star Wars equivalent seem to like mandalorian.
I do wonder if that is because it is animated.Well, the "nu trek sucks" people definitely exist and are obviously hopeless. They seem to be less present when LDS is concerned, though, which I find fascinating.
