Exactly the movie I was thinking of. :techman:
 
The trekyards analysis was just a load of enterprise apologetics with the occasional nod to Trek canon.
 
The only Trekyards I've managed to sit through were the Pacific 201 ones. Love the look of that fan film, and giggled endlessly as the guys tried and tried to explain what the guy said over and over was deliberately loose visual continuity.

The rest are so dull, but there's got to be an entertaining way to geek out over nacelles.
 
Here's the thing, there are very few arrangements that actually look good with the generic starfleet configuration. It rarely looks good streamlined, because the ship sections are distinct/separate.

So, you either go for a whole new configuration (like the Defiant, which dodged this problem entirely, but ended up not looking Starfleet) or you stick with existing successes and *slightly* modify that.
