Discovery itself

That was Scott Gimple saying that, and he's the showrunner on her OTHER show. That he knows what a Constitution-class starship is, is something in his favor, but he would have no real knowledge of what Sonequa's doing up here other than that she's not on HIS set.

In any case, amongst all the hypothetical designs here is a lack of those that look decidedly TOS-ish. Whatever (the?) Discovery looks like, the only thing on my checklist for the new hotness is that she doesn't stick out too much when they inevitably show her next to Connie. Or at least without explaining her curves compared to the ol' queen.

I was thinking more in the line of the USS Shenzhou, the ship of Michelle Yeoh. I was thinking that maybe there is something to the rumor that the Discovery is a Section 31 ship (the cryptic answers of Fuller regarding the registry number) and there were rumors floating around that Number One is a double agent, maybe the second ship very Number One is undercover is the USS Shenzhou and that is a connie.

I know it won't happen, but if they go for the Ralph McQuarrie Planet of the Titans Enterprise interior, I will be the happiest Trekkie in the world:

Futurama tubes!
Something tells me that Ken Adam idea didn't go to waste....

Never noticed that resemblance before. That said, I haven't paid much attention to Bond before :p

Strangely that Titans sketch has been in my head since seeing the bridge of the Shenzhou. They're clearly two very different designs, but the supports in the bridge with their more industrial-ish style popped out to me, giving me flashbacks to the Adams sketch with the tubes/pipes

I totally agree, it does have a very Ken Adam feel in the structure and expansiveness. And if I hadn't re-visted Moonraker with Roger Moore's passing I might not have picked up on it!

Now you know what the Planet of The Titans Enterprise interior would have looked like.

Time for a comeback. Maybe build this in a dead mall--but call it a starbase drydock.

I can just see the Maroon uniforms walking about in there.

Hum, I thought I made that so everyone could view it, google drive is so hard to figure out sometimes

P.S. Moved the images to Imagur due to Google Drive being a general PITA
