Do you mean private "Discovery" viewing booths?Does it have interactive exhibits like agony booths?

what show are you remembering where Starfleet went around unarmed like NASA exploring things all day and there was no conflict in the plot or threat from internal and external aggressors. It sounds like a boring show but definitely a completely different take on Star Trek from anything I have seen over the past four + decades I've been watching. Do tell.Nice!
Jesus Christ people! A Star Trek show should be called "Explore the Future". They got the premise wrong. Again. Goddammit.

It was called "Star Trek". Had a bunch of spin-offs as well. It's a bit older, you but if you like "Discovery", you should check it out, you might like it!
Though they were more inspired by the age of exploration - they weren't exactly unarmed, but had a policy of "not shooting first". Not too similar to DIS season 2 actually! You might really like it as well!
The Klingons shot first in Discovery. Burnham killed Tkuvma and tactically that was a mistake, but it was a combat scenario and I can't imagine anyone that would have claimed it wasn't a justified shot fired in anger. Klingons shot first at Corvan and the attack on the Glenn, etc.
Star Trek , especially TOS, abounds in conflict. Internal, external, what have you. Exploration is almost never without a price to be paid. That's the point of the show. Otherwise it would be Lackadaisically Going Where Anyone Could Have Gone Before. There are two different cold wars going on at once in TOS, similarly in TNG, not counting outright warfare at times. DS9, hot war. Voyager doesn't seem to even have time to have its phasers cool down, and Enterprise begins with a farmer shooting a Klingon in his stinky boots.
Even a "classic" Gene Vision-o-Rama like TMP has hundreds of people being killed by V'ger and never brought back to life.
I can only assume you must have skipped most five decades worth of episodes.
I would describe Star Trek as a fight for the future. at its heart Star Trek is optomistic, but its also a post-holocaust tale. A civilization outrunning its worst tendencies by expansion and discovery."How I met your mother" has conflict every episode. That's just the nature of storytelling. You still wouldn't describe it as "The fight for the future of your mother".
to be honest, it was just alright. frankly, a little sterile. this was less for the fans than the entertainment industry folks in LA.I'd love to visit this. Someone, pay my way and explain to work that I can't make it for a few days.
