I do wonder if you’ve actually watched the show though. In DSC they do go on multiple ‘missions’ throughout a season.
If you can ignore things, we can also ignore things. It's only fair.
DS9 is the worst Trek. Only one mission.
Not the point I was making and you know it, I was talking to a kid, but okay.
EDITED TO ADD: On a larger scale (let's try to make lemonade out of a lemon anyway), the fourth season of Battlestar Galactica retroactively ruined the entire series for me for a little while. Now I just ignore that season and focus on the first two.

I've never understood this. If an episode is bad, arc or not, I skip it. Period. That doesn't keep me from enjoying the reason of a season. Daredevil Season 2 is the biggest example for me.

Yeah, I don't think I would like a show ending after three seasons. Sounds very incomplete, and would never catch on.

Std was canceled because it's not drawing people in to paramount plus. The original series was ahead of its time and spawned a billion dollar property over the last 50 years. No contest.
Can't believe people watched that garbage. Hopefully it stays cancelled.
Remember that bullcrap about the half-white-half-black aliens who killed each other over which side of their faces should be black and white? So forced, where is the subtle allegory that real sci-fi should strive for?

No, TOS was not ahead of its time. It was pretty much in keeping with its time.

Again it spawned what we gave today. Yes it was ahead if it's time for a TV show about space travel.
I mean, the number of streaming series that get more than 5 seasons can be counted on one hand and all of them were among Netflix's first originals made before 2014.
Even as someone for who DSC did little for me, this isn't some big L for Kurtzman that it ended

You know, I gotta give credit to the ENT bashers of the 2000s because most of them bashed that show for not being progressive enough in its writing.

Yeah, TOS likes to claim ahead of it's time but that's all college hype to sell tickets. That Gene...wooof, I'm glad I missed out on this "Star Track" nonsense.
