Discovery a Netflix hit

Love Netflix, The Expanse is very good and a hit for those who love Science Fiction. Not to mentioned a lot of other shows that made subscribing to Netflix worth it.

Also using my PS4 to stream Netflix and I don't have any issues with it.

Nice news. Like others I got netflix for discovery (but also many other programs). It has been rather good to watch Discovery around 5 or 6 hours after USA watches it, and not have to watch it late at night, it use to be screened here in Australia (from a network who didn't care)

I remember an episode of South Park where the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes come to town, as well as the North American Man Boy Love Association. Confusion and hilarity ensues.

At the time I thought to myself that it's hilarious there was a group called the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes, and that the joke was them making up the other one. I wanted to know what a group called the North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes were actually like.

I had no idea what NAMBLA actually was, and had a mild but general fear that law enforcement agencies monitored such a net search.

this was also the first time I actually looked up how to permanently and irrecoverably delete an internet browsing history.
I love that episode . Haven't seen it in years.

Since I made a thread faux pas earlier today and this thread seems the perfect place for it:

Scroll down to the stuff about Discovery. Look at those chart rankings. #2 and #1 spots. This is really, really good, right?
It would be nice to have actual numbers from Netflix since these are not direct, but as they are the best we are likely to do, yes, it does seem like this is really good.

Streaming is going to replace cable and traditional TV. And Ozark seems interesting, going to watch it.

It's onlÿ a matter of time before a fellow poster or two explains how flawed, meaningless, and inadmissible these numbers are and projects that DSC will be yanked before the season even ends because it is so horrible.

I want Discovery to succeed, but I really would like them to move it over to Netflix in the USA. I know that's not going to happen, but the app does not work well on my ps4. It hangs on commerical breaks. The backlog of old trek episodes is nice but they don't have the remastered ones.
Can't you get the commercial-free version for the price of Netflix? I understand that commercials are only in the cheaper $6 version.

when I say "sucks to use" I mean it's use and feel. Netflix has NAILED the interface.
I can't stand the Netflix front end, scrolling up and down in various categories, then along each row.

Just give me two alphabetical lists, film and T.V. plus some category filters if required...

Happy to see Netflix are doing fine, their service is a robust one. We've been subscribers since they launched in Germany.

Issue is Netflix has plenty of other shows to watch other than discovery like the expanse.
Yes, I've been a subscriber for years so it feels like I'm getting Discovery for free. I don't believe many were subscribed to CBSAA until Discovery was announced.
