If we're not allowed to insult anyone who can be lurking, that means we can't insult anyone at all!

There's no such rule. Ex-posters can be criticized and insulted. In this case it was just a matter of the entire thread being derailed with criticisms of ex-posters and a current mod.

In fairness, I think all posters - ex or otherwise - have the right to be ridiculed.

That aside, how does one qualify as an "ex-poster"? I have probably posted more in the misc. forum the past few hours than I have the past couple of years, but I'm still a member/poster, aren't I? I still lurk on a daily basis and was a member/mod/annoyance long before 99% of anyone who is a regular now ever heard of TrekBBS!

I used to *be* somebody! I led riots, revolutions and other stuff I can't remember.

I've just realised this is my retirement/senility phase here. I know a man 86 years old. Delightful man but gone so far as any present comprehension goes. He's still back there, Crete, 1944 - in his staff sergeant uniform. I love 'em but, to most, he's an annoyance.

I feel like him today. Lost of relevance or meaning years ago... waving my cane around wanting attention only to be told: "Sip your soup, StarMan. Sip your soup."

"But I was there!!!"

"Your soup, sir... it's getting cold."

As for the OP: There are three or four missing persons that I miss, but if they don't want to post here anymore that's their choice. I hope they're doing okay. I know a few of them are on facebook, so if I could always join up there and track them down if I really wanted to.

Actually, I seem to recall Stewey tortured himself by watching it just to bash it, or at least claimed he did so. Poor guy...

I always felt bad for Stewey. And if he thought Enterprise was bad, he probably needed to be hospitalized when nuTrek came out.

Yeah, he's busy with the wife and kid. He still occasionally peeks in at TerranBBS and he still posts his photography at deviantArt.

He is very much so living here and I try to keep him reasonably entertained.
We aint married yet though
