Did Smallville get cancelled?

DonnyBaker

Lieutenant
Did Smallville get cancelled? My dvr didnt record it last week and it seems its not on again this week. WTF?

Unfortunately, no. But like a lot of shows, it's on some weird mid-mid-season hiatus. I guess because of the Olympics or something, I really don't get network programmers.

Oh no, it's not on for a few weeks, it MUST be canceled without even finishing the season! heh

It's just on a break like some shows do during this time, the break that is killing me is SGU's break, I've forgotten what has happened the first part of the season already, not a good thing to do IMO for a new series

They are making room for America's Next Top Model, no joke

there's a whole thread on it being renewed on the same page. At least right now it is, just gotta scroll down a bit. teeny bit.

The SGU thing is easy to remember: Water, air, food, humping, and an evil scientist guy. No action or aliens except that cloud of bugs drinking the water and that Alien face hugger/insect knockoff thing.

Wow, that show sounds awesome...

It has dramatic moments that I enjoy, like The Commander guy beating up Lou Diamond Philips and the Commander stranding Robert Carlyle on the alien planet, but the show could use some spicing up. I'm definitely not sitting around watching the reruns. I want some action. It doesn't have to be only action, but I want some action.

One thing that impresses me so far about SG:U is that they haven't backed away from the fact that they escaped with only what they could carry.

We've still got a guy who was shot walking around in the same torn, blood stained shirt and they're counting how many bullets they have left for their guns.

So far anyway, good writers can keep that up and still deliver top notch, or at the very least, watchable stories. How long they can keep it up, or it remains convenient, however, remains to be seen.

Semi on topic, these frequent hiatus are lame.

Conversely, they had plenty of spare uniforms (one of which that fit Eli perfectly) and sunglasses (including a pair for Eli) for everyone in the very first episode. And didn't they just happen to have enough arctic gear for two of them in one episode, too?

The arctic gear was on the ship; if it's the episode with the ice your talking about. The uniforms and sunglasses is a curious bit though, but considering the weird odds and ends that they managed to get on the ship (a box of paper for instance), and some people carried what looked to be personal bags, maybe there were extra uniforms because some of the uniformed people that evacuated, or not, either way, were potentially (or actually so) assigned to the planed expedition. A couple of the women have been able to change couple times as well, so it's all about what was there, who was planning to go, etc...

Oh right, I forgot that the outfits they used in the ice episode were from the ship. :) The perfectly tailored fatigues for a chunky teenager still puzzles me though. :D

I would think a ship that advanced would have some sort of manufacturing capacity for essential items, like spare parts.
