Did Jennifer Lein and Jeri Ryan ever met each other?

Did they ever met or share any scenes together? It's been a long time since I watched Voyager.
Okay, returning to the original question, before this thread has to be shut down, the only information I know regarding Jeri Ryan and Jennifer Lien is from the Memory Alpha article on 'The Gift', which features a short recollection from Ryan.
https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/The_Gift_(episode)
After completing this episode, Jeri Ryan said about her relationship with Jennifer Lien, "We rarely crossed paths and I don't know if that was an intentional scheduling thing or not, in order to make the transition easier. We only had two scenes together in the two episodes that overlapped. She was very nice, but I did not get to associate with her much." (The Official Star Trek: Voyager Magazine issue 14, pp. 37-38)
For anything further, one might have to find an old copy of that magazine, but I doubt if there's really any more. I haven't seen any of the latest documentaries or books on what happened.

As for Robert and Rene Picard, they weren't main characters. They showed up in one episode and I guess that their death was supposed to affect main character Jean-Luc Picard in some way. Personally I never saw any meaning with what happened or if it had some deeper impact on Picard except for one Episode or movie.
Personally, I wouldn't have bothered to come up with that scenario.
It's no different for Kes. Likely as not, she was not a character created by any of the writers, or even if so, they wouldn't have any attachment to it. Kes is different for you, and other fans of Kes, because there's an emotional investment. But the Picards are the perfect example of how writers think differently. Not out of malice, not to insult the audience, not out of some sense of destructive schadenfreude.

I don't know the why but having experienced with writers in my personal life I doubt it's meant to be this deep insulting thing. And I am inclined to give the writers the benefit of the doubt.

Sorry, but I can't see any meaning or creativity in what they did.
It was just a very mean thing to do, due to the facts I mentioned in my previous post.

That you don't see it doesn't mean it was done for destructive purposes.

Sorry, but that episode wasn't entertaining, only insulting.
all things are subjective. I liked it. I think its one of those things were people are told by other people that a thing isn't good and after awhile the haters just assume everyone thinks so. Fury has its admirers.

Since it was done to destoy Kes, it was done fore destructive purposes.

The Kes haters like it. I guess that they are 98% of those who actually like this insulting piece of crap.

The remaining 2% I simply don't understand. :sigh:

I don't hate Kes. I'm not crazy about her character, either. I think she was kind of bland and underutilized, like most characters in the cast. I could likewise say that some Kes fans might have enjoyed her ah, youthful pixie appearance and felt a kind of romantic betrayal when she shows up as a bitter, experienced, person.

Assumption. It assumes malice that we don't have proof of, aside from individual interpretation of the episode.

We fans will not have an unbiased viewpoint on the character. I think feeling betrayed is an accurate description.

Well, maybe i should change that my statement about the 98% who actually like that peace of S**t episode are Kes haters, despise he and don't like her, otherwise they would never like such destructive crap.

And yes, I enjoyed her beauty. Nothing wrong with that, is it?
I would rather say that enjoyng her beauty is a sign of good health and a functioning brain.

Not to mention that I also liked the way she was in the series.

And honestly, wouldn't like to see any of the female main characters being turned into a crazy, ugly, horrible witch.
Not any of the male characters either.
Not even Berman, Braga and Bryan Fuller.

You do have a point.
When something I like is destroyed for no other purpose than destruction itself, then I react with anger and an urge for revenge.

That's my nature.

It has happened on other occasions than this one.

However, i'm a calmer peson today than I was about 10-15 years ago. Today, I'm trying to understand why they who destroyed something acted the way they did. But sometimes I can't understand this.

I am getting very subtle vibes that you don't like Fury.

Hanlon's razor: never ascribe maliciousness which can just as easily be explained by stupidity. The whole idea of "destroyed" is taking a very strong negative view of the writers, with limited information, a lot of assumption, and a lot of personal bias.

But how in the world can you get such an impression of my feelings for that episode? ;)

Of course it could be regarded as downright stupidity. Just like when a three-year old kid throws a toy car against a huge, expensive mirror which is totally shattered.

But were they so stupid?

And what they did then was nothing but character destruction. Not to mention that it was totally unnecessary since the events in that horrible excuse for an episode had no impact on future storytelling. Which we actually should be eternally grateful for.
