Definite New Series/Limited Series with Patrick Stewart Returning

One of the ideas I liked in the RLM pitch was that they wouldn't be reliant on even traditional warp drive. I think they even suggested being limited to impulse. While that might be too limiting, I liked the idea if that concept was followed of not being able to zip around the galaxy at ease. Perhaps limited warp travel due to engineering issues. A chance to slow down and explore. Build more tension into hostile encounters.

I really dig RLM's Star Trek Galaxy pitch. It's got tons of potential, is true to the ethos of Trek and TNG, and features the Galaxy Class, which I miss dearly. If you haven't watched the video, do yourself a favor.

No Riker chair mounting every week? That does it, I'm boycotting this travesty.

They haven't even written a script from what I understand. You know very well that this crew will be reunited at some point in time.

We really don't. If they planned to do it right off the bat, they probably would have already talked to at least Spiner, Dorn or McFadden. If they don't plan to do it right off the bat, there is no guarantee of it actually happening. We don't actually even know for sure if the Picard show is intended to last long-term at all, yet, or just tell a 1 or 2 season self-contained story and be done.

Keep in mind guys no scripts have yet been broken. Thus the rest of the TNG cast not being involved just means that they aren't needed for the main plot arc. It doesn't mean that they can't come on if needed for a little cameo or even a guest role in an episode or two.

If it turns out to be more than one season I would be very surprised if none of the TNG cast appeared at least once.

Ah, a dawg!

I think there's chances of cameo appearances but probably not full fledged story arcs with the entire crew.

Geordi and Riker would be 64 years old. Troi 63. Crusher 75. Worf 59. And B4/Data would technically be ageless although we know that Brent Spiner is no longer as young as he once was and it would be noticeable that he's no longer the age he was when Nemesis was filmed.

Patrick Stewart is now 78. By the time his new show premieres, he would be at least 80 years old. Hence the new series might be the final opportunity for the original TNG crew to be featured on the screen together :confused:.

So yes, I would love to see cameos by the old gang in the new series. MAKE IT SO!!

Mind you I'm referring to the characters' respective ages in the year 2399. Picard will be 94 years old!
