We saw Tommy and Irisa doing it last year, and we saw Irisa getting pissy when she saw Tommy and Berlin macking this season.

They look like sperms from up here, but unfortunately they qualify as adults who deserve adult relationships that we want to watch in detail glom together and/or fall apart.

Despite your denial, this is happening, and it's a little hot.

Really they should both drop Tommy who is a bit of a sap and run off together. To Berlin's office. Or Irisa's charming box car hut.

There's what, 7 species, 8? Humans, 6 Votan races and the Volge.

Asshole Aliens from another solar system, who invaded the Voltanis System, wiped out a Voltan race that is now extinct, and then snuck onto the Arks when no one was looking.

Sure, there are no Volge Johns, but the lack of a diversity in the whores means that either there is not a diverse sample of Johns coming in to kick the tires on the smorgasboard available or the specific Aliens don't like ####ing their own kind, or there are possibly species restrictions on who is allowed to buy sex in the need-want... But even then bog standard Humans are such freaks that they'll want to try every species at least twice to make sure heaven isn't hiding some place unusual.

But yes, what we have seen is demonstrating an unfortunate model of supply and demand, that men from any planet, will only pay for sex from women from not that many planets, which has you feel all sorry for the Sensoth girls in Defiance who can't make a (relative) fortune on their backs.

Anime might be dead, but new Manga must have been pretty easy to roll out with a make shift 19th century industrial complex behind it after the Pale wars finished.

Looking at the tech that Berlin is playing with, one has to suspect that New York doesn't look so different from a future we could envision that hadn't been thoroughly digested by an apocalypse.

I'm picturing it looking shiny like NuLondon in STiD but with steam punk stuffs grafted on here and there. No slums, they would have cleaned up that island so that it was one big uniform clad office with Orwellian overtones.

Can you imagine all the Hipsters in their lensless reading glasses victoriously jerking off because steampunk is necessary and real, and that they had always been right for insisting that it was cool?

Flying is dangerous because you can't navigate and your electrics fry if you get too high, or stay up there too long, but floating a hundred metres off the ground lolling about with a few tons of freight in their undercarriage has to be considerably more economical than rebuilding the railways or highways without slaves.

Steampunk deeply irritates me but I love the outer world Firefly aesthetic of Defiance (the town). Sanctuary gave us a (bizarrely empty) underground steampunky city, but that didn't work on any level because they were too cheap to add people to it.

I thought Emilie was great, that was just.. a big disappointment that she left. And as you say her replacement was underused, though I like where she ends up. People kept asking why Emilie left but I don't think we ever got an answer?

Sanctuary had a lot of great performances, it was very much a dramatic comic. Flawed but often surprising.

Maybe we haven't seen Kenya for a while on Defiance because the actor is backing out and maybe Polly Wallker will replace her as the new madame after Amanda burns herself out on blue drugs. Polly Walker as Need Want madame would be the greatest development ever.

aaaaaaaaah for a moment there I thought Polly Walker was on Lost Girl.

That's vaguely on the list, and yes I would like to see her in another role but I really did like Kenya.

Lost Girl is actually finally a show where the gay people do the gay stuff once or twice an episode, almost every episode, and the sky does not fall.

Blame Canada.

Speaking of unbelievably disproportionate representations of sexual orientation, I think it's odd how often the "patient of the week" on Greys Anatomy has a concerned gay lover who is earnest and caring, not because I'm inappropriately homophobic but because it seems to be that Seattle Grace Hospital exists in a Universe where God really does hate gay people where he is continually striking them down with horrible illnesses, cancer clusters and ridiculous acts of himself accidents which rends and punctures limbs and torsos.

Blame God.

Not that I'm going for the Gray, I will check out Lost Girl however due to promised gay action.

Ugh the list is getting too long, I need a tv holiday with a whole lot of pizza and no phone. Of course after that I can feel deep guilt but at least I will have accomplished tv. Damn these older shows with their 22 episodes a season, they go on forever.
