Ho-Ho-Ho! It's that time of year again and after voting on a specially submitted list of seasonal and/or festive ideas we have our 221th Fan Art Challenge Theme:

Aliens Stole My Reindeer!
In Star Trek we often see our human characters puzzled by alien rites and rituals. For this challenge show us how the alien species of the Trekiverse might interpret or misinterpret human seasonal or festive traditions.

How do you think our favourite Star Trek alien races would make of our traditions this time of year? How would they respond to tales of Santa Claus, elves and flying reindeer and the festivities of New year?

What would Klingons make of the food or the glorious battles at the New Year's Day sales? Ferengi would surely love the commercialism, but maybe not so much the gifting? With their huge extended families Denobulans must love a get together, right? But would the Cardassians view it all with suspicion?

• only one final image can be submitted (although it may contain multiple views)
• your final entry should be posted in this thread (although dedicated WIP threads are appreciated)

The winner gets to sport the “Art Challenge Winner” banner below their name for the following month and has the honor of hosting December's challenge. And if you have any Theme idea's for future challenges or for our Festive December Contest please post them in the "Suggest Your Themes!" thread.

Laura, please do work out that idea yourself! I know you can do it and I would love to see you realize it.

I do have an idea for this but didn’t have time yet to work on it.

Here's my entry. Quark (left) (deliberately) misinterprets a popular Christmas tradition for his own benefit.

Some Easter eggs:
* A green beverage on the bar
* The children participating - one is Bajoran, the other Cardassian - Christmas (and egg throwing) bring them together
* The sign with some helpful arrows in case you don't know who you're supposed to tip
* A bag of money on the top of the tree, and the gift's wrapping paper has dollar signs, too
* Nog's ugly Christmas sweater

I got one too: Phlox mistaking a decorative Christmas snow globe for a refreshing Earth beverage …

I can just see Phlox doing that for real, @Michael. His facial expressions are amazing. Excellent!

I don't know if I'm going to have time to work on my idea, so if I haven't posted anything here when it comes to Voting Thread time, just count me out
