Decanonization Time!

So Vulcan hasn't been conquered, okay. But Vulcan is at that point a long-standing member of an interstellar Federation of planets with some worlds that have, at some time, been conquered. Vulcans are not stupid. Vulcans cannot conceive of a conqueror? Just because they personally have not been conquered means that they don't even understand the concept?

Seems odd to me.
Star Trek is riddled with inconsistencies.

KIRK: What was it you sensed?
SPOCK: The touch of death.
Vulcan long rage telepathy isnt something that's been brought up again. They're only presented as touch telepaths or recepticles for other telepaths.

I wonder if this exchange inspired the Kelpien sensing of death?

Didn't Spock try to telepathically mess with one of the Kelvans in By Any Other Name without touching them? And while it didn't work as intended, he still made contact without touching them, and described how alien their mind felt.

By again I meant post TOS

There's also Sarek and Michael in DSC.

Something like they melded when she was little to save her life.
Good point I forgot about that meditation scene too. I ammend my point to Vulcan long range telepathy being seldom mentioned and them most often just being touch telepaths

Interestingly each time long distance telepathy has been shown in Star Trek it's basically instantaneous and doesn't require relays unlike subspace communication. Seems like you could just put matched pairs of Klingons on each ship and their home starbase for emergency comms.
