^Exactly the problem, most of the stuff was written decades ago. Since then he hasn't improved much in regards to writing much like Claremont/Byrne/Wolfman and the other writers from the 80s.
Yeah, I'm particularly frustrated with this title because of the contrast with Action, which is awesome right now.
I don't even know why artists use significant amounts of crosshatching anymore. It's like they haven't actually seen their finished work on the page. What is this "kohm-pu-tor" of which you speak?Chiang can do more with a single line than Lee and others can do with a million cross-hatches.

Shallow, for sure. But saying she was a "complete caricature of an air-headed gossip columist - even more over-the-top than she was in the first season of Lois & Clark" is something that simply wasn't there.
