Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 5

I think they kept new Zari around simple because they felt she had more comic potential then old Zari. You can get lots of social media influencer jokes out of her and she doesn't have the same weight old Zari does, along with her brother having not grown up under a oppressive fascist world.

Brandon Routh has landed a four-episode arc on The Rookie, which could lead to a full-season arc.

Kind of sad because it means he won't be coming back as Superman or Ray but I guess that was never going to happen anyways. As for shows I watched I finally finished Supernatural. Almost perfect ending. I wish everyone could have returned and I think I know how they would have all been in the same scene but of course COVID happened. More West Wing episodes. Watched the the first Superman movie with Toby McGuire. Great movie. Still the best Superman movie even after all these years. Also another Amazing Spiderman cartoon and the first Family Guy Star Wars episode.

Superman with Tobey Maguire? Do you mean Spider-Man?
And just because he has a recurring role on The Rookie doesn't rule out future guest appearances in the Arrowverse. I've seen a lot of actors who are regulars on one show still make guest appearances on other shows.
Daryl "Chill" Mitchell currently has a regular role on NCIS: New Orleans and a recurring role on Fear The Walking Dead both going on at the same time. There have been a few times he's actually on been on episodes of both shows in the same week.

Definitely hoping Routh can return to the Arrowverse but I'm afraid that with the way he was ditched and how bitter it made him it won't happen. I'd love to be wrong, though. Give Ray and Nora their own show, goddamn it! Lovable Himbo Dad and his Smart, Devious Wife having positive effects on youth, please.

Yep. I think I made two mistakes. That one and also my post was suppose to be in the "What have you been watching lately" thread in TNZ. I blame 2020 for it all!

Jason

Actually it's worst. I started off in the right thread but lost track in middle of making my own post as to what thread I was in and went into another direction. Like I said though. 2020!

Jason again.

According to a Tweet from the LoT Writers Room Twitter account, they are now in production on episode 605, which is titled The Satanist's Appretince. It's written by Keto Shimizu and Ryan Utarnachitt, and directed by Sara Lance herself, Caity Lotz. Looking around on Caity Lotz's Twitter account, I also found a Tweet there that is probably about the same episode.
Caity Lotz said:
Day 2 of prep for an episode I'm directing! Currently auditioning dogs, and testing how well a cheese wheel can roll.
Sounds like it should be an interesting episode.

Wow, they must be really happy with it, if they're renewing it before it airs it's most recent season. The EW articles does say that they are doing the renewals early to give them more time, but I would think they would still have to like what they've seen to renew it.

Also with covid likely to be messing things up for the next 6 or so months it's probably easier for them to go with another season of an existing show than trying to spin up a ocmpletely new show and also not being able to have anything in reserve in case the new show utterly tanks.

No other sources yet, but I saw it reported on Instagram that Caity Lotz's contract is up at the end of this upcoming season - and that she has decided to not renew and move on. After eight years playing the character, it would not surprise me.

I feel the same. If Caity is leaving the show should end. I would rather have a team show in the modern day Arrowverse that does not involve time travel. Let Brandon Routh as the Atom be the leader.

I hope it's not true, but I can understand if she's ready to move on.

I'm a big fan of Caity Lotz, but I don't agree with this. Legends is defined by its ever-changing cast; remember that Lotz was originally third-billed in the credits and that Rip Hunter was originally the captain. So I wouldn't have a problem with LoT being the Arrowverse's answer to the (comics) Avengers, a team that endures even if it has a complete turnover of its membership roster. I'm happy for them to keep it going as long as they want to.
