I agree, plus, I want INVASION as a crossover event.
Maybe it *should* be evolving? I mean, to them, it's a few minutes, but they're mostly running into him with decades or even centuries in between from his point of view. I know my accent has changed over time, and I'm only 41.
I would actually love to see Monarch - I really enjoyed the whole Waverider looking into people's futures schtick (especially Superman's swearing in as president). But they would really probably need a few seasons to make Captain Atom a character people would care about first (assuming they stuck with that being who Monarch really is). At least the ship is already named Waverider...Too bad they used up two of DC time related villains already. I guess there's still the Time Trapper and Epoch. And does any one really want to see Monarch or Extant?

Except it wasn't. They were going to reveal Monarch as Captain Atom, but it was spoiled, so they changed it to Hawk (of Hawk and Dove) at the last moment. Although it looks like they later did another version (or two?) of Monarch that was Captain Atom.
Would love to see Metron and the New Gods.
They did that in the mullet-ridden EXTREME Justice series. Oh the 90's...

This news is a couple days old, but Dominic Purcell was seriously injured on the set of the Prison Break revival. He says about the experience that he got a hundred stitches and a free nose job out of the deal.

There were two Captain Atom versions of Monarch
Monarch 1: Hank Hall who because Extant
Monarch 2: The *real* Nath Adams (Captain Atom turned out to be a duplicate of his - an idea never mentioned again)
Monarch 3: Captain Atom himself.

Weird. So, like, a previous bearer of the totem? Well, I'm disappointed it won't be Echikunwoke, but at least it leaves an opening for her to recur as the "current" Vixen.
There was some talk about her getting her own show or becoming a regular on one of the existing ones, so this was good news until I saw the Magalyn wouldn't be joining. What's the point if it's a different Vixen?
Looks like Megalyn has some possible film projects in the works. She can still appear as a guest on Arrow or Flash and if her other projects don't work out, she could still become a regular on one of the shows or get her own.
Presumably they developed plans involving Vixen as a regular, but then Echikunwoke got another gig and couldn't do it, so they adapted by making it a different Vixen.
Which is okay, though, since it adds to the DC tradition of legacy heroes. If both Jay Garrick and Barry Allen can be the Flash, if the Lance sisters could be the Black and White Canaries, then more than one person could be Vixen. And that fits well with the idea of the totem being passed down through the generations.
^ After giving it some thought, I'm warming up to the idea actually. The time travel aspect of the show does indeed allow us to have a new character to explore as well as the original. But what will she be called? If it's a future or alternate version of the character, she could be called "Vixen" but what about someone from the past as the article suggests? She couldn't be called Vixen because Cisco came up with that name.
That would be easy to explain. One of the other characters could assume she is Vixen because of the same totem and powers. So they call her the name with in the show. Even if she never was called that in her own time.
I hope they recast Wildcat. I thought the actor on Arrow was a poor choice. He disappeared because of another full time series role. It would be easy to explain it like they did with Jay. Have him be a Ted Grant from Earth 3. Perhaps the alternate father of the Wildcat we saw. Were he was a vigilante instead.

I liked the Arrow version of Wildcat perfectly well myself, albeit not what I pictured - more of the Tom Bronson Wildcat. The problem was he wasn't just under-utilized he was unceremoniously killed off... maybe. They didn't even care enough about the character to confirm if he was dead or just badly injured and nothing came of him again - even from Laurel!
ETA: Waller got similar treatment, but at least it somewhat fit the character... I suppose. And she at least was confirmed dead and continues to have an impact.

But that would preclude the original actress returning to the role later. This route leaves that option open, which is why I prefer it.

They can come up with someone with the same powerset who's somehow related to her(it's not like they haven't done it before with Sara Lance), and it might be good, but I still feel kinda cheated out of seeing a live action version of Mari McCabe.
