Financial or 'critical' success does not equal quality.
Unless it's a movie YOU like, then it's all good.
Financial or 'critical' success does not equal quality.
A combination of both does imply it, however.Financial or 'critical' success does not equal quality.

"General template" is still rather vague. What exactly do you mean by that? Because I don't see that many similarities between the BB trailer and Homecoming, but a lot of differences. For example, BB is an origin story while Homecoming is not. BB appears to not be big on secret identities, while Homecoming certainly did. With this Blue Beetle trailer, my complaint is that the film seems to be trying too hard to emulate the general template and tone of Spider-Man Homecoming, not that it is making the same specific narrative mistakes (overshadowing the titular character) as that film.
What confuses me is how you single out Homecoming there. Because, tonally, all the MCU Spider-Man movies are very similar.
Hell, aside from the trying-to-be-Nolan ASM, all Spider-Man films are very similar in tone.
Personally, I thought it looked like a lame Iron Spider knockoff, with a generic-looking plot, a generic villain, and a generic suit, but then I noticed that the protagonist and his family weren't of the same ethnic group as Peter Parker, so now I think it looks great, and I clapped!Ah.
The next DCEU Flop.
James Gunn is saying crossover films between DC and Marvel are not out of the question although any such productions would still be a ways off.

(I'm also very intrigued by the idea of a villain telling the protagonist that his family is his weakness. If it turns out that his family is the source of his strength, and the protagonist ends up telling the villain that, I think we could be looking at a Best Picture nomination!)

I'm pretty sure he can work on both scripts at the same time. Though once production starts, one will take priority,Thought he was doing a Star War. Or has it already joined the long list of cancelled ones?
I think it could depend on if Zaslav fails in his attempt to pimp Superman for maximum dollars.Disney Studios is still trying to recover from its purchase of 20th Century Fox. If it ever decides to purchase Warner Brothers, I suspect it will be years from now. Or perhaps another conglomerate will purchase Disney.
I thought Affleck did a great job. He and Christian Bale are my two favorite Batmans.
