I think we took the DC thread past infinity and beyond into conceptual space

For anyone who isn't already a huge WoDC fan, I don't see what's been put out there to really draw them in to this movie at all.
^ If you've only seen it at the theater and on TV, and you have any appreciation for the film at all (as you've just indicated you do), you owe it to yourself to see the Ultimate Edition that was released on Blu-ray. I have serious reservations about BvS, but there's no question the extended cut -- which, by all indications, is the "real" cut before studio concerns about runtime and such came into play -- is by far the superior version.
That's a shame, I hope it turns out better than that. The trailers look great, and the WoDC movies have been getting better and better so there is a lot of potential for this to be really good.Just read that Aquaman current projections are for an opening weekend between $40-$60 million based off early interest, a new low for DCEU or DC Worlds (whatever they call it). I'm sure this will go up somewhat but a $160 million rumoured budget is going to need oversea's numbers or great WoM to help it out if it opens so low.
I really need to see the Ultimate Edition, I enjoyed the theatrical version, and I keep hearing about how the UE is even better.^ If you've only seen it at the theater and on TV, and you have any appreciation for the film at all (as you've just indicated you do), you owe it to yourself to see the Ultimate Edition that was released on Blu-ray. The Blu's $11.97 at Amazon right now. What's stoppin' ya?I really need to see the Ultimate Edition, I enjoyed the theatrical version, and I keep hearing about how the UE is even better.
The best thing about the longer cut is that it does a nice job of piecing together the story, so Lex's plan makes a lot more sense (but is still convoluted) and Lois Lane actually gets to be a reporter. This movie would have been better as a two movies, with the first part as BvS and the second Superman: Doomsday.Hmmm, that is tempting.
As does Clark Kent. The longer cut would not have been universally acclaimed, of course, but would have been better received had it been released at the cinema. The best thing about the longer cut is that it does a nice job of piecing together the story, so Lex's plan makes a lot more sense (but is still convoluted) and Lois Lane actually gets to be a reporter.
Yep to the two posts above. Lois's and Clark's expanded journalistic roles are a definite plus. In fact, more of Adams's excellent Lois doing anything is welcome in my book -- I vote for a Lois Lane solo movie in semi-grounded investigative/political thriller mode, with Cavill playing an important but clearly supporting secondary role (he and Adams do have strong and sexy chemistry).
You are an individual of exceptional perception and exquisite taste.I love Amy Adams as Lois Lane
