He is a really talented artist.... but Barry doesn't wear underwear?????

He seems the type that would at least do Underroos

Ezra's like every bigot's nightmare, some clown out there trying to steal their children away and force them to convert in cults.

When she released her message denying the accusations she sounded just when you see like a cult member denying they were in a cult.

Reshoots of certain scenes might be an option; there were many new scenes shot for Zach Snyder's Justice League with several of the stars, so its not unheard of to go that route.

At this point, no one knows how much of a role (or screen time) the other characters play in the Flash film, or rather, how much time Miller takes up, but Keaton's inclusion--and his appearing in the Batgirl movie--could lead to using him not just as the bridge to that alternate reality, but more of the focus for this film (in subtle ways), allowing the set-up for that next phase, where the Flash would undoubtedly be re-cast.
The Flash's the title character, and on top of that we know that Miller is playing multiple versions of him, so I'm thinking replacing them would basically mean having to reshoot the almost the entire movie. Obviously it's not impossible, but would it be a massive undertaking and would not be cheap.

With digital insertion, it would be possible to shoot only that new actor with no need to get all the other actors back in or recreate the set pieces. And I get all the jokes, but this is different than removing a moustache. From what I understand, it's actually a whole lot easier.
And if you're shooting only one actor, it might be possible this wouldn't take longer than a week or two. Though I don't know how long the digital insertion process would take.

Would the movie's quality suffer? Maybe, a little bit. Some character interactions might not feel as natural as if all the actors were there. But in my eyes it is the more feasible than reshooting most of the movie completely or releasing the movie as is.

Remember when Miller was on video choking that girl and we all convinced ourselves they were friends and he was just goofing?:ouch:

I was a huge fan of his Flash, it's a shame he has to go but scum is scum. WB have changed direction on their superhero universe several times before ('Member the Snyderverse?), they should be used to it by now.

The worst part of this at the personal level (if true) is the victims and their families have to suffer. At the broader level, this sets up the religious right to be able to justify their agenda. If WB doesn't publicly disassociate themselves with Miller quickly, FOX news and the fanatics in the US Republican party are going to use this to justify their anti LGBTQ+ agenda.

It would be far cheaper than shelving the entire film as some have suggested (antithetical to company/shareholder interests, particularly after production and marketing costs are considered).

David Zaslav expected to make a decision 'soon' on The Flash. I don't think this is the kind of "Crisis" they wanted to make....

It's sounding like they HOPE in the next twelve months that things will cool down. Movie get's released. Ezra possibly makes a statement

"I can't wait to see the future of the DC universe....maybe Wally West?"

Movie makes whatever money it can muster with more focus on Keaton returning and then Ezra is "released/fired".

You who I feel sad for?

Well, ofcourse first the victims of Miller's behaviour. They are the people who really suffered.

But I also feel sad for Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. Especially since Ben has gone on saying that this was his most fun shooting as Batman for the DCEU and now this happened.

Don't forget Sasha Calle. Getting the Supergirl gig in The Flash was a huge deal for her. Look at her excitement and joy when Muschietti broke the news:

Personally, she's about 95 percent of the reason I'm looking forward to the film. (Keaton gets the remaining five percent for old times' sake.) So yeah, pretty shitty for all concerned.

Yes, absolutely. :(

"According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has tried getting help for Miller. But as the headlines pile on, Zaslav is faced with a dilemma regarding the actor's role in The Flash itself. The outlet postulates that Zaslav could either "pull back" on promoting the film, relegate it to the HBO Max streaming service or "lean in toward making the movie a hit and then drop Miller" if the situation doesn't improve. "There is no winning in this for Warner Bros," a studio source said. "This is an inherited problem for Zaslav. The hope is that the scandal will remain at a low level before the movie is released, and hope for the best to turn out.""

I suspect most of the public at this point know nothing about this. This is largely a Twitter/Social Media debate and concern. I am not taking about what Ezra Miller has been accused of. But the future of this movie.

Why? Because Ezra Miller is not even close to a house hold name. Also the Flash is not yet that high profile character outside fan circles. This might be different if they were more famous or playing one of DC’s big 3 that everyone knows.

Most of the hype, publicity on the film itself has always been about other actors and characters. I remember concerns early last year that the Flash would be sidelined in his own movie.

So it will be easy with a whole year to reframe and possibly retitle this thing. Very little has been officially released. New trailers can be added to Black Adam and/or Shazam! 2.

it will be really simple to recast the role later. Digital replacement? Remember all the crap erasing Henry Cavill’s mustache got? That was much easier.

No matter what happens they'll still have a harder time marketing it. Some people will make it their business to be very loud about Miller's involvement. You can be sure it will be a major talking point approaching the release date.

Since when has it been a bad thing for people to talk about your movie? Like the saying goes, all publicity is good publicity, as long as they spell your name right.

And not even then. I saw an assertion on Twitter this morning that Lauren Boebert intentionally inserts typos into her tweets because she knows all the people retweeting them to mock the typos will generate far more engagement. Bad press is still press.

The fact that it's a saying doesn't make it unassailably true in every situation.

Unrelenting headlines that your star Superhero is a pedophile is not likely to be an 'all publicity is good publicity' situation.
