DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

I have this weird feeling the Flash movie is gonna start with Synderverse Flash but at the end he's in the canon universe where Justice League happened as in the Whedon movie with one huge exception...

"Who's Superman?"

Setting up the JJ produced movie.
I do think the Flash movie will be used as a way to smooth out some edges in regards to canon but not with Superman. Henry Cavill is still contracted for one more appearance and the Rock seems very interested in having him in a Black Adam movie.

Wow, that's not at what I expected the story for the show to be. I wonder if it's going to just be parallel stories in the two time periods, or if there will be some kind of time travel involved.

I've been expecting it to reset things into a new universe where Snyderverse stuff never happened. I could see them saving the Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Harley Quinn movies, but not Man of Steel, BvS, or Justice League since they seem to be trying to distance themselves from that whole arc in the theatrical releases. Not sure about the first Suicide Squad, we'll have to see how connected, or not, The Suicide Squad is. If it's ambiguous enough, I could see limiting Harley's arc in the new universe to just Birds of Prey and TSS.

It would be pretty easy to keep WW, Aquaman and Harley Quinn's films the same even while erasing Snyder's films (and the first Suicide quad) from the continuity, they barely reference the Snyder films/suicide squad anyway, and the references they do have are vague enough to just be about A Justice League, A Superman/Batman, A Joker, etc.

This news is old, like 2020 old but I read only today that they aren't going to make anymore Lego Batman movies. A shame since I thought they were up there with 'Into the Spiderverse'.

I hadn't heard that, and it's really disappointing, I loved the first one.

Waller gives a big speech about how the world is not safe now that Superman is dead. A human deterrent to alien assholes has to be invented to fill the vacuum.

The problem with that speech, is that Superman was just some hobo that killed a bunch a people, and then killed another bunch of people, and then died.

3 months tops.

Hardly an institution the world had come to rely upon.

Maybe that speech would fit better with a "different" NonSyndarian Superman.

Did you miss the montage of Superman saving people all over the world and becoming a worshipped figure?

EDIT - this was shown in BVS.

One after noon.

Every other Superman lied to Lois Lane about who they were.

Those Supermen had a lot of superfree time to patrol and save the world.

This guy?

He's holding her purse in K-Mart while shes trying to find just the right shade of blue for their new throw pillows.

So does that mean Comic-Con might have to go back to just being about... comics? Imagine that...
I'm sure some of the smaller studios will still do San Diego Comic-Con reveals: But the mega studios (Disney, WB and FOX) with huge IPs; and massive marketing budgets will probably continue to hold their own very tightly controlled and managed media events for their large IP projects.

That was a truly amazing motivation for the Suicide Squad. If Zod or some other phantom zone villain with Superman level powers attacks, we'll send the guy with boomerangs, the guy with wrist mounted gun, the crazy lady with the baseball bat, the guy that's good with knots, the lady with the magic sword, the soldier, the guy that shoots fire, the weird possessed lady who's sure to turn on us and the guy who looks like a crocodile. Problem solved...?
