It's actually the logo from the '80s comics, which could very well have been inspired The Dirty Dozen. So a take on The Dirty Dozen.

Guess I heard right.DC's own online convention is coming:
Not quite sure what to make of it. Is it going to be some kind of VR thing, or is it going to be panels per Zoom like all the other online cons.
Sidebar: That voice at the end there, was that Aisha Tyler?
Um, they're doing animated Superman stuff all the time; plus the upcoming 'Superman' CW series too - I doesn't appear to be 'DC live action feature films only' related; it's everything DC related that's coming down the pipe.Seems a little cruel to use the orignal Superman film theme with no Superman movie what so ever being development.
Just don't care that there is a black pimp and a slapped child (possibly pimp-slapped, but cannot confirm) in the movie.
Logo for The Suicide Squad:

Exactly one year away from theatrical release, should theaters exist then that is...![]()
Unless the mother used the back of her hand. A move which is also known colloquially as a pimp-slap.It's implied that the girl is slapped by her mother. Now, assuming that her mother is involved in coordinating some kind of prostitution ring (which seems like a leap in logic, but I'll go with it for argument's sake), that would make her a madam, not a pimp. So your use of the term "pimp-slapped" would seem completely uncalled for.

You must really hate The Thing, and it's prequel The Thing. Or Halloween, and it's sequel-ignoring sequel, Halloween.I hate this trend of giving sequels titles that sound too much like one of the previous movies.
I like the design of the logo but I must go on record yet again as saying that I hate this trend of giving sequels titles that sound too much like one of the previous movies. We have sequels that add "the," like The Suicide Squad, The Final Destination, The Wolverine. We have sequels that remove "the," like Fast & Furious. Then you have the ones that just don't make any sense at all, like Saw 3D or Halloween (2018).
I kind of agree with you on this, but this style of naming is head and shoulders above the previous trend of overnaming or overexplainging titles. X-Men Origins: Wolverine, for example. Or having to put a roman numeral after every sequel along with the subtitle.
They've released a guest list for FanDome, which includes pretty much every cast member from their shows and movies, movie directors, and comics writers and artisits. One name that stood out to me is Lynda Carter, she's one of the only people on the list who isn't involved in a current production that we know of, which makes me wonder if she might be announcing an appearance in WW84, or maybe a return to Supergirl.
I do. I really do. I mean, it's one thing if it's a remake or reboot. But what the hell do they think they're doing? Halloween has got to be the worst. At least The Thing, while technically a prequel, was seemingly trying to position itself as a reboot for marketing purposes. But Halloween is clearly a sequel to the original, right down to bringing back Jamie Lee Curtis. And as if it's not enough to make it a sequel to the original that ignores all of the other sequels including the 3 that Jamie Lee Curtis was also in, they have to pull this title BS too!
Then there's the 1971, 2000, & 2019 versions of Shaft, which are all actually part of the same damn continuity!
They do this in Japan too. The '84 reboot/sequel to the '54 Godzilla is just Godzilla, the '90s reboot of Mothra is just Mothra, and there are three films in three different continuities all named Godzilla tai Mechagodzilla. It's only in English that they're given distinct titles.
"Return of Godzilla" was the international title. Toho, and other Japanese studios, used to give their movies English language titles to sell on the international market, but once a foreign distributor would buy the movie, they'd quite often give the movie a new title in order to sell better. To stick with the franchise, this also happened with "Godzilla vs. Hedorah", which became "Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster", or "Mothra vs. Godzilla" becoming "Godzilla vs. the Thing".Wasn't the 1984 Godzilla one called "The Return of Godzilla" and the the American version just called "Godzilla 1985"?
It's only in English that they're given distinct titles.
Anwar, you missed this part of my post even though you quoted it:
Nope. I've read the rumors too. The popularity behind Routh showing up as Superman again may have encouraged the money people to look into it.Shortly after Crisis a Routh HBO MAX mini was rumoured... is it too much to hope?
So Val Kilmer is going to be at the Fandome. Can we expect a extended cut of Batman Forever?
It has been confirmed that such a thing exists... Perhaps they will release it next instead of the much more in-demand Ayer cut of Suicide Squad.
