The first act was a hard slog, but it got better.SS1 was not nearly as horrible as the buzz suggested. Though there was clear room for improvement, I found it definitely enjoyable. I really don't see anything there story or plot-wise that needs to be ignored.

The Squad's "mission" wasn't about rescuing her; it was about her observing whether or not - and how quickly - they would turn on each other.
She didn't even intend for them to stop Enchantress and Incubus; they decided to do that on their own, and she took the credit in the aftermath.
