I wish that DC would go the Marvel Unlimited route--I'd pay 100 USD a year. Heck--you could subscribe to Marvel and DC and Comixology (mostly all of the other companies) for about the same price as buying 2 to 3 titles a week.
There is going to be a Rebirth hardcover of all the specials. I think that's out in November.
Comixology did just start a subscription service that gives you free access to certain comics for a $5.99US a month. Sadly it's pretty limited right now, and based of off the stuff on my wishlist doesn't appear to include Marvel or DC. It just started in the last few months, so I'm hoping they might add more publishers in future.I wish that DC would go the Marvel Unlimited route--I'd pay 100 USD a year. While that may be a good idea for some, I still like owning comics. I bought the Valiant Humble Bundle in 2014 and their Groupees in 2015 and I still have unread comics. It's not because they're not good (they are damned awesome), it's that it's annoying to read. I hate to sound old-fashioned, but I don't have to worry about a physical comic's battery life!
But, again, that's just me. I am in favor of ways to make getting comics easier!
Marvel has its own Unlimited service. I'm hoping DC does something similar soon. But that's what I'm saying. Marvel is a hundred dollars a year. If DC had a similar price that would be less than three hundred a year with comixology's to have access to all the libraries. It is very much the same idea as subscribing to Spotify or Apple Music.Comixology did just start a subscription service that gives you free access to certain comics for a $5.99US a month. As for Hitch's JLA, I recently read that the finally issues of that series will be published this summer. That said, how are we going to get a second bi-weekly Justice League series when it is so difficult to put out monthly ones. Darkseid war was delayed, Forever Evil was delayed. This bi-weekly concept is by far the stupidest thing I've seen in a long time and I hope it doesn't last very long.
Justice League hasn't started yet. We've just had a couple of fill-ins to fill out the 52 issues of the New 52 version. Thus far I'm interested in Action, Superman, Batman, Detective. Not impressed with Justice League so far.
Agreed. Also a very solid Aquaman fan and I'm taking a sabbatical on DC books for the time being.much like the beginning of New 52, i imagine they're throwing stuff against the wall and waiting to see what sticks. i too doubt Aquaman, Cyborg and Deathstroke can sustain bi-weekly (and i say that as a fan of Aquaman too).
I was having the same thought about Aquaman, Cyborg and Deathstroke. I was under the impression that all of three of them were characters who had struggled to sustain monthly books in the past, so it seems like a big gamble to assume they can sustain bi-weeklies. I have to question if any DC characters other Superman and Batman could support bi-weeklies on a long term basis.much like the beginning of New 52, i imagine they're throwing stuff against the wall and waiting to see what sticks. i too doubt Aquaman, Cyborg and Deathstroke can sustain bi-weekly (and i say that as a fan of Aquaman too).
