DC Comics - Ongoing Discussion - SPOILERS

I have an odd question about Justice League 3000/3001--what the heck is going on?
We have a future without the Legion of Super-Heroes; pre-52 but post-crisis Booster Gold/Blue Beetle exist as do Tora and Bea; and no the silver age Supergirl appears?

DCYou was 5 minutes ago.

I suppose if 2 million dollars in advertising yielded zero additional revenue, it's a safe bet that someone was fired and a new tac was chosen.

Probably a few "Shake ups" like with Batgirl.

I don't care or pay attention to that sort of stuff. Got some books I enjoyed out of DCYou. That I care about.

Probably just a minor course correction the way the Secret Wars not-a-reboot was.

I thought that's what Convergence was supposed to do?

DCYou was a shift in tone, and a shuffling of writers/artists.

Convergence was admitting that every universe that had been Crisised out, was still out there in a larger multiverse than we had believed present to be used for new stories as needed.

Was "DCYou" just applied to a handful of new titles? I never saw anything about it. Things like Prez and We Are Robin?

In the wake of Convergence the New 52 is done. It's either being replaced or partially replaced with DCYOU.

They're launching 24 new titles in June (after cancelling 24 under performing titles) in an effort to rebrand to make real comic books fans happy.

There's another four pages of advertising after what I supplied above (click with your mouse to make bigger silly.), where they're trying to make us happy about the future and not care about the mass grave full of shitty comics they couldn't shift because they don't know what kids today really want

I posted the above on May 31, 2015.

Justice League #48 was solid, though it's so bizarre the way this massive Darkseid War storyline is not acknowledged in any other series and the characters in it are inconsistent with the larger continuity. When the hell is this story supposed to have happened?

Dark Knight #3 was... interesting. I'm curious to see how they're going to defeat an entire army of evil Supermen. It's kind of weird how Batman is a side character in his own story.

Darkseid War has been pretty good, which is surprising. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
They need to depower the godlike people by the end, and I'm betting it will involve Morbius becoming the Anti-Monitor again, and maybe every remaining powered up Leaguer sacrificing the godlike powers to defeat him. Except maybe Luthor, who will have to be defeated by the other league members, since I can't see him giving up power.

Someone is just going to turn back time.

You need the JLA back to normal, and the Darkseid brought back to life.

If Darkseid isn't really dead, then all this is a just a mindgame.

Several hundred Lanterns just died on Earth.

Are their Rings going back to their home sectors, or are they recruiting a thousand Earthers for the Corps?

Barry Allen is a Forensics expert working for the police on a special taskforce to hunt down the Bay Harbour Butche... I mean, the Flash. Sure, it's the height of irony, and funny, but really, does DC know that they're ripping off Dexter as they're doing this?

I read the third and final part of the most recent Batman/Superman arc this morning and really enjoyed it. It was out of current continuity and a great standalone story. Superman: American Alien #5 was really good too. I just love Francis Manapul's art.

Just read Legends of Tomorrow #1. It was pretty good. Its basically an oversized comic shared by Firestorm, Metamorpho, Sugar & Spike and the Metal Men, all in separate stories. All of the stories were interesting and well done, even Sugar & Spike which is apparently a retool of an old humor comic starring kids but now is about adult private investigators. Definitely worth checking out in my opinion.

I flipped through it and thought about picking it up but with a price tag of $7.99 I decided to pass.

Nah, DC is run by idiots. So it can't be good.
