DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

But Gunn has suggested hesitation on rushing Justice League and rather wait a long while before characters are fully established. Considering how badly the previous universe handled the League, starting with Snyder in BvS, I do no blame him.

Got to wait for the stink to wear off from the last movie and video game.

I'm shocked we've never gotten Metallo in a movie. I don't know if he'd work as a solo villain, but he could easily be a secondary villain along the lines of Ultraman in Gunn's Superman.

When I saw BvS the first time, I was sure that the crippled guy Luthor was helping would become Metallo.

I always thought Vandal Savage and Solomon Grundy would make good Superman villains. They have have occasionally faced him but not regularly.

One of the first comic stories I read was Superman : Time and Time Again. He is bouncing around in different parts of history. He meets a villain during WW2 called Mr Z who he had already meet in the present. Turns this is how Mr Z knew who he was fixed timeline. Jerry Ordway has said in recent years Mister Z was supposed to be Vandal Savage. But the Flash writers were already using him.

Brainiac, Metallo, Parasite, Livewire.
Anyone but Lex for the love of God!

The current comic book version is an interesting and tragic take on the character.

Poor old Jeff Sneider has thrown a massive tantrum because Gunn keeps debunking his and other people's "scoops".

Sneider is a punchline within the online entertainment press community. Randolph seems to be as well, to some degree. Her reporting looks to me as if it pans out a lot more often than Sneider's.

He can rant and threaten to "spoil everything" because he has no bridges left to burn, if he ever had, which is why he seems to be repeating stuff overheard by some dude sitting in a catering truck. He's like the only chatterer out there who didn't get invites to Superman press screenings. He's treated as someone cosplaying a reporter.

That wasn't Gunn being petty. If that's how he operated, Grace Randolph would be somewhere in press Antarctica.

Luthor gutted a man and put him in a robotic body with no way to feel touch

Which is an idea I find questionable. How could a robotic body function without some kind of tactile feedback to tell it when it's touching or holding something and how much force it's applying? Although I suppose that kind of feedback wouldn't necessarily feel the same as a human sense of touch, and might not be receptive to things like warmth and texture.

Machine tactile sensing is not the same thing as touch, any more than registering and assessing damage is pain.
