That's circumstantial at best. Xavier doesn't handle Doom for the same reasons Richards is a net drain on society, because it would mess up the status quo. Heck, the U.S. should have nuked Latveria no later than 1970.

I do figure that Doom would take great pains to not be vulnerable to telepathy, though--so I do accept your conclusions. :p

As for power, Black Adam alone would tear through any prominent MU hero or terrestrial villain except Thor, the Sentry, Loki, and maybe the Juggernaut. A prepared Doom might have a chance. I don't see Magneto, or anybody else short of a Sorceror Supreme or Asgardian, really being able to fight off a Marvel (unless mastery over magnetism includes the ability to deflect magical lightning :D ).

Remind me, did Rogue absorb Thor's powers in Avengers Annual #10? I remember her being pissed off that most of the Avengers were immune to her ability--Vision, Iron Man (absorbing the power of Tony Stark probably isn't exactly a major catch, anyway), and Wonder Man... so I guess it must've been Thor that she was able to. The reasoning being that Rogue can absorb magical abilities--and it is pretty essential to have Ms. Marvel's abilities already in order for her to get close enough to someone with DC superspeed, which has been shown to be a few orders above Marvel superspeed--we can add Rogue to the list of very few people in the MU who could probably kick a Marvel's ass.
 
Rogue stole Thor's power in a "What if?", so yeah.

The Marvels and BA tend to be Gamebreakers in both universes, so I'm guessing that the (good) Asgardians might try to keep BA at bay (if Odin got off his duff I'm guessing he could take them all out since he defeated Mephisto and Loki in a What if?) while Loki would see him as a nice plaything to send against his foes. Dr Doom would see him and Captain Marvel as the first ones to test out his power stealing devices on, before moving up to Silver Surfer.

Come to think of it, that's not bad. Make BA and the Marvels characters that mainly deal with Thor and the Asgardians (and the Mighty Hercules). The Norse Gods deciding to clean up the mess made the Egyptian gods.

I dont think Tony is in the same class as Reed or Doom in the smarts department. And being good guys, Tony and Reed don't think the right way to really take down Doom. Lex beig the smart twisted guy he is would help the Calculator find away in Dooms armor. And BA isn't gonna stand around moping like the Surfer and leave himself open for an attack. Then Psycho strikes. Same with Magneto. BA softens him up for a psychic assault. And it wont be a pretty little "oh poor Eric" Xavier style attack,either. What ever Magento's greatest fears are would become actualized. Just hope the Joker doesn't get in the fray. He so unpredictable he'd nuke the whole planet for shits and giggles.
 
My attempt at a chronology:
PRE-BIG BANG- Galen from the planet Taa is absorbed by the Cosmic Egg that the the Universe is collapsing into.

20 BILLION YEARS AGO: The Big Bang. The Universe/The Source is born. Eternity, Infinity, Chaos. Order and the Endless are born.

10 BILLION YEARS AGO- Sentient life evolves on the planet Maltus.

8 BILLION YEARS AGO- Galen, now called Galactus is born

5 BILLION YEARS AGO- On Maltus the scientist Krona attempts to discover the beginning of the Universe. This causes a disruption in the Universal balance. To combat this the Maltusian decide to take action, but they cannot agree on what action. Some feel they must form a group of guardian to restore the balance. Others feel they must try and create beings who will restore the balance. A third group feels they can only watch and let things fix themselves.

The first group moves to Oa and became the Guardians of the Universe

The second calls themselves the Celestials and travel from world to world testing and experimenting on their inhabitants.

The third group is called the Watchers

The Sol System and Earth are formed.

3 BILLION YEARS AGO- The Guardians create the Manhunters. When the Manhunters fail, the Guardians create the Green Lantern Corps.

A group of Guardians with a more proactive approach split and form the Controllers.

2 BILLION YEARS AGO- The female Guardians leave and form the Zamarons.

Still a ways to go!!!!
 
Eh, Joker would just get killed by Frank Castle. Hell, Frank WOULD'VE killed him if Batman hadn't stopped him in their crossover (which was done by JM Demattis, who knows his bat-villains).

That's a problem I have with the Batverse, in order to not make them look pathetic they have to have them be more human-leveled in their own books while making them borderline invincible in the other DC titles because they can't stand seeing their non-powered characters lose to others. Marvels' own plethora of street-level characters (good and bad) would even that out.

But yes, the Maltusians becoming the Watchers, the Celestials and the Oans is perfect.

But wouldn't Krona have noticed Galactus' "Embryo" when he saw the dawn of time? Or was that part of it?

Perhaps the Martians are Skrulls who colonized a planet, seeking to escape the Kree/Skrull War.
 
Frank seems to have let a lot of villains slip under his radar, one more won't matter.

Perhaps Krona did and his interference caused the creation of Galactus
 
I'd think that Frank SHOULD be an GCPD (Or Chicago, if DC's cities become real ones) cop who lost his family and couldn't take Batman and Gordon's approach any longer. Batman's rogues would be at the top of his list.

I'd think he's go after Organized Crime not the crazies. Its not like DC-Marvel is gonna let him kill off their best villains anyway. There's a reason the Kingpin isn't decomposing in his mansion with one of Frank's bullets in his brain.
 
He DID try to go after Kingpin, Kingpin proceeded to kick his ass into next monday and left his alive as humiliation and an example to tell others what happens when you go after Kingpin.

I'd just think that maybe the Gotham villains would be a bit more retrained or scared knowing there was an effective guy there who really WILL kill them and not just send them back to Jail or Arkham. Joker might have a limp or less able body from life-threatening injuries he got from Frank (before Batman got him to a hospital..). The irony being that Gotham/Chicago would actually be a little cleaner thanks to Frank. A constant source of anger for Batman.
 
Seems to me your Marvel bias is showing. ;) If Frank can't handle a gangster like Kingpin he might want to focus on guys like Killer Moth and the Dee brothers when "Gotham" comes to town. :lol:

Th point is NYC is such a wretched hive of scum and villainy that it makes Mos Eisley look like a day spa. Ol'Frank has barely made a dent in the villainy there and those guys dont piss their pants at the thought of the Punisher, so why would the Gotham guys be different? The "Rules" wont change because Frank's changed addresses.

One unspoken thing I believe protects the Joker : His constant planning. I think Batman has realized, and Frank would come to realize, that if the Joker dies, no one would really know what schemes he had in the hopper, and who knows how many would die if even a just a few of those went forward? Also, food for thought : we know from Long Halloween/Dark Victory, the Bale movies and The Batman 2000's Animated
that it was Batman ending the age of the city-controlling mobster in Gotham that ushered in the age of 'Freaks'. Maybe Batman partially fears what might come if the freaks were taken out. Frank could become the third part of the Gordon-Batman alliance, from the lawful to the edgy to the wetworks, tolerated by Batman the way Gordon tolerates him.

Other odds and ends :

The Psions created the Symbiotes.

Zenn-La was founded by Kryptonians fleeing their immoral clone technology.

Cast-off Celestial tech helped scientists on Ancient Krypton to create Doomsday.

The Red Skull retains his primacy among Nazi antagonists during WW2.

Magneto's family fled to Markovia before it was overrun by the Germans. Notes on the boy's odd physiology helped Dr. Helga Jace in recreating Tara and Brian as Terra and Geo-Force.

The Psycho-Pirate's masks draw power from the Darkhold and were used first in the creation of Atlantean vampires like Varnae.

Certain duplicate characters have to give way for others. Marvel's Hippolyta is simply a bitter ex with a stalker complex for Herc; Hera's curse of madness still couldn't make Herc hurt her, so she directly possessed him to violate Hippolyta.

MILLIONS OF YEARS AGO- The Celestials perform experiments on the inhabitants of Skrullos, giving them their shape shifting abilities.
Over the next millennia The Skrulls create a star-spanning Empire with outposts from the Andromeda Galaxy to the Milky Way.
The Skrulls discover two sentient races on the planet Hala: the Kree and the Cotati. They set up a competion to see which one can join the Skrull Empire. The Skrulls choose the Cotati and the enraged Kree kill the Skrulls and take their technology.
Over the next centuries the Kree use the stolen technology to build their own empire and eventually attack the Skrulls, setting off the Kree-Skrull War.

The First Host of the Celestials arrives on Krypton. They create Kryptonian Eternals and Deviants. After a long war the Kryptonian Deviants are exiled beyond the borders of the now galactic Kryptonian Empire.
The Kryptonian Deviants wander into Skrull space and are enslaved. Millennia later their Skrull-Kryptonian descendents leave the empire in mass on an exodus that leads them to the planet Mars.

1 MILLION YEARS AGO- The First Host of the Celestials arrive on Earth and begin experimenting on the primitive proto hominids there. This gives rise to the Eternals and the Deviant sub-species. The Celestial also leave a modification in the genetic code of the proto-Hominids called a metagene. When activated by exotic energy, this gene can cause various physiological transformations.
One group of Eternals founds the City of the Golden Gate on the Continent of Atlantis. This gives rise to the Atlantean Empire which spreads over the Earth. The Atlanteans discover magic and begin to worship the Darkworld Pantheon.
 
900,000 YEARS AGO- The Kree create the Intelligence Supreme in response to the Skrulls creating a Cosmic Cube.

The Celestial Second Host arrives on Krypton and the Kryptonians rise up against them. The Celestials break the Kryptonian Empire shattering it into a million pieces scattered throughout the Universe. Its remnants found on worlds like Daxam, Stronia, Yttrium and Dakkam. The Kryptonians are stripped of their Eternal powers and confined to Krypton.

25,000 YEARS AGO- Two factions of Eternals go to war. The losing faction leaves Earth but crashes on Uranus. On Uranus the Eternals find a Kree weapons depot and defeat the Sentry guarding it. Using Kree technology the repair their ship and head back to Earth. The Kree intercept the Eternal ship and capture several Eternals. The survivors manage to found a colony on Titan.
The Kree dissect their Eternal captives and discover the Celestials handiwork. They send a ship to Earth and perform their own genetic experiments on humans, giving rise to the Inhumans.

20,000 YEARS AGO- Humans begin migrating to the remnants of the continent of Atlantis.

18,000 YEARS AGO- The Deviants conquer Atlantis’s Lemurian colony in the Pacific.

16,000 YEARS AGO- The Celestial Second Host arrives on Earth. They sink Deviant Lemuria and the rest of Atlantis in the Great Deluge. The Atlanean cities of Posidonis, Tritonis and Nethria survive, as does a colony in the Arctic. Using both magic and science the surviving Atlanteans adapt to life under the sea.
The Eternals retreat to their hidden mountain refuges, limiting their interactions with humans.
The Guardians try to contain all magical energy into the Starheart and cast it into deep space.

7000 BCE- In Canaan a young boy named Jebediah is granted the powers of the Gods to use in the defense of his people.
The repentant fallen Angel Aztar becomes the Wrath of God

6000 BCE- Egyptians begin to worship Atum-Ra.

6500 BCE-The God Poseidon makes himself known to the Atlantean survivors, who begin to worship him.

3500 BCE- Nabu, a Lord of Order arrives on Earth and becomes an advisor to various rulers in Mesopotamia and Egypt.

Jebediah of Canaan becomes the Sorcerer Supreme, taking the name Shazam.

4000 BCE- Zeus begins to seek worshipers on Earth

2950 BCE- Rama-Tut arrives from the future and proclaims himself Pharaoh. He forced to flee when four visitors from the future defeat him

2900s BCE- The mutant En Sabah Nur is born and is worshiped as a God by the Egyptians.

2800s BCE-Heracles is born.

2570 BCE-Vandal Savage, calling himself Khufu, becomes Pharaoh of Egypt.

2000s BCE- The Greeks begin to worship the Olympian Gods

1500s BCE- The first of the Asgardian Gods makes himself known to humans

1200s BCE- Shazam grants Teth-Adam of Khandaq the power of the Gods.
Egyptian Prince Khufu discovers Nth metal in a crashed Thanagarian spaceship. Khufu and his wife Chay-era are slain by the Priest Hath-Set
Nabu, Shazam and Anath-Na Mut, advisors to Pharaoh, are bested by the Hebrew leader Moses who demands Ramses II frees his people. Pharaoh banishes all three. Nabu enters hibernation in the Valley of Ur. Shazam retires to Khandaq. Anath-Na Mut wanders the desert till he finds an ancient temple housing the Stone of Ka.
The Amazons are created by the Greek Goddesses
The Atlanteans emerge from the seas and attempt to conquer the surface world. Heroes from the four corners of the world band together to defeat them including Hippolyte of the Amazons, the Greek demi-god Heracles, Teth-Adam, Shazam and the Eternal Gilgamesh.
Hippolyta and Heracles begin an ill fated romace.
The Trojan War
The Amazons are banished to Themyscira after failing to fulfill the wishes of the Goddesses
 
The Spectre and Ghost Riders can have a sort of working relationship, since the Riders are the Dark vengeance of Hell while Spectre is the Divine vengeance of God. Someone else suggested that when they are close together there's some kind of magical/metaphysical flux with two great manifestations of opposite sources (Heaven/Hell) towards a common cause.

Lex Luthor can be a friend of Jonah Jameson at first, them both having similar views on superbeings, incidentally meaning that Norman Osborn would be a drinking buddy as well.
 
The Superman-Hulk story, set early in their careers (Post-Crisis Byrne/Wolfman in Supe's case) would be an excellent model for the dovetailing needed to make this work.
 
About Superman/Hulk, guys I've discussed this with on other boards came up with this scenario: Having kryptonite and gamma radiation be linked.

Maybe have a similar scenario to Superman III: While analyzing mysterious green rock samples supplied by the government for potential use as a power source, Bruce Banner realized K-Radiation couldn't be perfectly replicated and went for the closest substitutes while maintaining as much of the power as he could. So his Gamma Radiation is a poor man's Kryptonite that can't be used as effectively on Superman as the real stuff (which is why Luthor doesn't get behind the Gamma Bomb project himself after Banner is hulked).

However, combined with Hulk's own raw power the gamma radiation that is a part of him does make Superman weak enough he can't just take out Hulk and has to back off. Not as weak as a Kryptonite beast would, but weak enough that he decides to avoid all-out confrontations. And it would often be mentioned that no one knows who'd win in such a battle.

Doomsday would be revealed to be such a "Kryptonite beast" though. Kryptonite radiation being part of his "Ultimate Survivor" origin as well as all the genetic experimentation. So he's the Hulk when K-Radiation is used instead of Gamma Radiation.

Thus he can be kept on as part of the Hulk mythos as well when not battling Superman, just like how the Marvel and Black Adam would be part of the Thor mythos when not interacting with the rest of the DC-M Universe.

Hell, the "Kryptonite Doomsday" was a recent villain in Superman-Batman wasn't he? Some American soldier turned into a Doomsday creature only with kryptonite in his body as well? He can just be a perfected merge of Doomsday and Hulk.
