Damn! It's hot!

25.c and it feels like i'm melting. roll on autumn not too hot or cold. I'm not a summer person really

Here is southern California, it's 66F and cloudy. Been that way since June started, really. :p

That's the 3+ month long weather forecast from Dr. George Fishbeck "late night early morning low clouds".

You guys got water in AZ during this time? And is Phoenix high or low desert?

We've got plenty of water now. This is our "Monsoon" season.

Not sure, but I believe it's low desert.

I believe high desert gets snow in winter. Could be wrong, though.

Around 30° celsius and dry today, doesn't get much hotter than that here, but I'm glad about it; the weeks before it rained so much that we've had a horrible mosquito invasion and I hope the weather stays like that for a while so these demonic beasts die off finally.

It cooled off last night, so I was able to get some sleep. Today was in the 70s and a lot less humid. Beautiful. :bolian:

The high desert does indeed get snow sometimes, especially when you get up into northern Nevada and the Great Basin Desert. Very scenic. Where Ice lives is low desert, though. He's at around 1000 feet - probably doesn't see snow much.

Thanks.

Hubby took me out for dinner last night--our favorite burger/tri-tip place. Best in town. It felt cool enough outside that I actually commented on it.

It was 93 F (~34 C), according to the thermometers. You know it's been hot when 93 F feels "cool."

34 C doesn't feel particularly cool to me right now. :(

Edit: It's midnight and still 27 C outside and 31 C in my apartment.

I love it when temperatures get this high, it feels great! What I don't love is that people and businesses seem to think that they need to set the temperature on their air conditioners about 10 degrees lower to compensate. After about 5 minutes indoors I start to freeze my ass off. Just because it's really hot outside doesn't mean I want to be really cold inside!!

Amen, brother!

What feels real nice this time of year 'round these parts is coming back to your vehicle parked in the sun after spending hours in the cold air conditioning and sitting/driving in it for a while with the windows up and no AC on.

It's been getting pretty hot here too, up to about 26C this week, I think. It's way too hot, and being in England I'm not used to it being sunny

That's about early to mid May temps here.

That's something I'm going to have to get used to if I ever make it to England to study abroad.

Right, but that only lasts for a minute or two, then you remember you're essentially driving around in an oven.

Supposed to be back up to 100 tomorrow, so be careful with those fireworks!

Was it just in my area, or were people setting off fireworks on Friday night in other places, too? If they were going early last night, tonight (Saturday night) is going to be...noisy.

We had a rainy fall last year, a long and snowy winter, a spring that was cold and rainy as fall and a start of summer just like fall also.... and NOW ..NOW when I have to get the rests of facts and stuff into my head, because next week is examination week we get a heat wave. Great! I feel like melting and can´t find a bit of concentration. I hope that Monday is cooler again. The University here as no air conditioners...

This is the most unusual July 4th weekend we've had in Oklahoma since I moved here 17 years ago. Today, July 3rd, it is raining a steady drizzle of rain and the temperature is expected to hit somewhere near 80, if that. Tomorrow is a 50% chance of rain, with continued chances of 40% - 20% for the remainder of the week. It is all thanks to the Gulf storm that weakened and petered out.

well, it cooled down. Highs expected in the 90s. It's even cool at night and early morning. Well, 77 with a cool breeze. But it feels perfect.

Summer's coming, though. That lasts to October.
