Dac's NX-01(.5) & more!

Re: Dac's NX-01(.5)

^ Oh my... I don't want to say. But... no. The upper area is actually on the same level as the rim (or E Deck). The lower level is supposed to dip into the area below that under the saucer. You also have the extra 5 feet for the door recess. So the lower launch bay level is about eight feet to long and about 5 feet to tall to fit into the space.

And the outer rim is about 7 feet. But if you look at the sets the ceiling slopes down to that area making the inner areas 8 feet.

Re: Dac's NX-01(.5)

Ah. Well, im not going for rivet accuracy with this (dont have the skill nor the patience), but I hope im in the right ballpark.

Their the same height as the people in the launch bay, and if those are about right, that'll do me fine.

Re: Dac's NX-01(.5)

Interesting theory guys. I don't wanna get involved cause it will make my brain explode, lol.

Re: Dac's NX-01(.5)

Anyhow, moving on from fitting everything into the ship, back to pretty pichurz!

First up, I caved in and made a rough texture for the saucer. It isn't perfect, but it works (I think), so that's probably gonna stick. Just gotta make some more for the rest of the ship now.

I dunno why, but I found making the crashed Columbia to be really fun. Probably because its something a bit different, and instead of focusing on details I got to rough it up a bit :P

Anyhow, this isn't all I do, I like to juggle lots of projects (even though I really can't). So, here's the Battlestar Pegasus, I've been making it since it appeared in the gods damn show all them years ago, and, well, havent really touched it in 3 years. I really should get around to finishing it though...

Ah well, even though the Pegasus needs some finishing, I decided to take a stab at everyone's favorite federation battleship.

More to come at some undefined point in the future!

Re: Dac's NX-01(.5)

^ Actually I am a sad git. :rommie: I have, after all, devoted four and a half years of my life to the black sheep of Trek ships.

And again, awesome work Dac!

Re: Dac's NX-01(.5)

I decided that she was a little too skinny, so I've bulked her up a bit, and have decided to follow the shape of the studio model, and there's a few different CG ones made for the show it seems and they all played fast and loose with the dimensions.
