Hey, folks...

I have decided to post a poll thread here, regarding the option of having custom user titles under the username. So far, only paying premium members can enjoy this. But I would like to see it made available to all on the Trek BBS.

Premium members who pay a fee already enjoy having NO advertisements, a bigger PM box, and access to a premium member's lounge, as well as the custom user title. But I would like to know how many people here on the Trek BBS would want and enjoy the ability for regular board members to have the custom user title. Personally, I think it would be both a good idea, and would be something nice for the regular membership to enjoy.

Below are four choices... please select one, and explain why, if you can. I just want to get an idea of what the board as a whole thinks about this. Thanks!

Option 1 - No custom user title for regular members.

Option 2 - Yes, a custom option, but only for members with a certain post count.

Option 3 - Yes, a custom option, but only for members of a certain rank.

I'm not a premium member, and I don't really care about custom titles. In any case I wouldn't expect to get one unless I was a premium. So I would have to say I support leaving things as they are.

None of the above. There are several unobjectionable systems, including 'everyone', 'no-one' and 'paid perk'. The problem with the current system is that custom titles are both a paid perk and a reward for good behaviour. Remove custom titles from writers and it's fine. The problem with custom staff titles is one of simple professionalism, or lack thereof, coupled with the effective obfuscation of their role. In any case it's not a big deal; let them eat cake.

Since you've already asked the question in QSF, we'll close this and let Bonz or Spiff weigh in there.
