crossovers that could've worked

There was a comic artist (Rich Morris) on the net that was making a crossover Doctor Who-James Bond story. He has done a few other crossovers as well as a Ten Doctor's story. He hasn't finished it yet, but it covers the Doctor (various faces) encounters with James Bond (also various faces) and the idea that Blofeld was also an exiled Timelord who's TARDIS broke on Earth, deciding to steal the Master's TARDIS. Not sure if they came out and said Bond was a Timelord, but they did have two Bonds at once (transition from HMSS to Diamonds are Forever).

Also the concept that the reason no one believe James Bond isn't anything more than a novel or movie is that his has a simple trick that make people forget....His name (actually the specific pattern, "Bond, James Bond") The Doctor (10th) uses it on Donna, who forgets what they are talking about for a second.

So far its been the Tenth Doctor (with Craig Bond) and Third Doctor (with Moore Bond) and most of the Bonds, probably for time travel shenanigans.

Other things he has crossed with the Doctor? Jem and the Holograms (with the Sixth Doctor and Mel). Forever Knight (with the the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa, as the Eight Doctor). And a mention of Kolchak: Night Stalker crossing with Sarah Jane Smith during her time with the Fourth Doctor. (As well as an adventure with the Third Doctor to early Elizabethan times...before the Tenth Doctor would have married her)

All those actually sound pretty cool.

I wonder what the Doctor said to James Bond hehe..

Bond and Blofeld are both Timelords, OHMSS is set chronologically after DAF, after OHMSS the shock of Tracey's murder causes the Lazenby Bond to regenerate into the Moore one, the Telly Savalas incarnation of Blofeld tries to regenerate
but isn't fully successful so he has a different accent but has neck braces and is still in a wheelchair in FYEO. Presumably he was resurrected before SPECTRE through a similar process to how the Saxon Master was. Maybe the Craig Bond was suffering from post regenerative amnesia. Oh yeah, and NSNA was set in a parallel Bond universe to the main one like the Cushing DR who movies were to the BBC series.

Wouldn't it make more sense if NSNA was after DAF, many many years later? That incarnation of Bond aged until it died for some reason, and became the younger Lazenby version, and so on.

I don't think so, seeing as how NSNA was a remake of Thunderball
I never understood the argument. It legally bound to follow it closely, but its still very much its own entity that, consciously, follows all the previous Connery's. In my mind, its a great cap to the Connery/Moore eras.

Same plot, same villain, same name Bond girl. Obviously they updated NSNA to the 1980s & acknowledged Connery's age and there are some differences in the action scenes etc (Cubby Broccoli apparently was at one stage insisting that it be a shot-for-shot remake) but it's very recognisable as the same story.

I've always thought that Connery looked younger in NSNA than he did in DAF.. May have just been the makeup hair and wardrobe. The stuff he wore in DAF was pure 70s awful...

When he made DAF Connery was 40/41, pretty much the same age Craig was in QoS. Its kinda funny to compare how they look side by side, particularly if you compare their shirt-off scenes; Connery is total dadbod compared to Craig.

Which goes to show that if Bond really IS a Timelord, that the Craig version must have installed a workout room in his TARDIS. LOL

maybe we're just seeing his Adventures out of order and the Craig version is actually and early incarnation :)

Since Craig is the one who first becomes a 00, he has to be the first.
I always figured we were seeing Bond's adventures in the order he experienced them, and that early-Craig/late-Brosnan was trapped in an alternate universe while pursuing the Cult of Skarro to Pete's World during the Time War. Didn't have anything better to do, so he decided to start his Earth job over from scratch.

Please. How many Bond films are actually original stories, in the Moore era? The Spy Who Loved and Moonraker are practicalyl remakes of You Only Live Twice, really.

I will concede that the names are different and there was no SPECTRE in the latter two, too... BUT, the original version of TSWLM included SPECTRE and Blofeld, and both TSWLM and MR had eccentric billionaires doing their thing outside the norms of the scientific community. And both TSWLM and MR had Jaws.

Tom Baker once joked that instead of a companion he could have a talking cabbage on his shoulder-if there had been a crossover with The Muppet Show this could actually have been done
