But is it commercially viable? Look at the number of (lifetime, non-unique) views, which are miles below anything sustainable on television.

STC was great, but it was a niche within a niche audience.

Exactly. STC is proof that a TOS revival is possible, not that it's marketable. Throwback Trek to that extent, with all the technical trappings of the 60s, is a niche concept for a narrow audience.

I really wish this would happen, Enterprise really hit it's stride in the 3rd and 4th seasons and I thought it was a great shame it was cancelled. I would have loved to have seen a 5th season concentrating on the Romulan war.

Lets be honest, the first few seasons of TNG, DS9 and Voyager generally weren't great so I didn't see Enterprise any worse than those other shows.

Maybe if Discovery is a success then there might be a chance of an Enterprise revival as I think it deserves to have it's story told.

Anyone really wanting an Ent revival, had best sign up for All Access and stream the hell out of it on that platform, but I'd say that you're more likely to start a fire by fanning a stone.

It already had its story told. If anyone wants to tell it again, have it done properly - with Captain Robert April.

I'd have to disagree, Enterprise will always seem unfinished to me especially with that terrible final episode.

Okay, I'll grant you a final wrap-up TV movie that does a proper job, if you'll grant me the same for Voyager.

The players are too old to play the parts, its been way too long of a period. I do think the show can be revived in comic books or other literature formats.

Good question. I don't know if they've done any ENT comics. I know some ENT characters have camoed in TOS-era comics and they've had some NX-class ships in Kelvin comics but I'm not sure they've done more than that.
I call everyone dude. Or a room full of women "you guys". I probably shouldn't, but...

    Apologies if I caused offence.

OH! Videogames could be another path for revival; voices rarely change and it would be nice to revisit the show as fans play one last mission. CBS has their subscription service and they should allow fans to ask what they'd like on their streaming services. Enterprise deserves a proper ending, maybe a 4 part, 8 hr telefilm.

I may not have liked the series, only two episodes I enjoyed, but the final episode is a complete slap in the face. It's a pocket episode of TNG "The Pegasus" where the ENT characters are second banana to the guest stars. What were Berman and Braga thinking making a horrible finale like that? Like it or not, those characters and those talented actors deserved more than that. They put their hearts out for that series and a proper ending was needed.

At this point, I'd probably settle for at least one fucking Enterprise audiobook... You can take your pick for other iterations of Star Trek in spoken word, and on top of Zachary Quinto reading Alan Dean Foster aloud, they'll no doubt be a Discovery novel done before too long.

How about Connor Trinneer reading the first relaunch book, "The Good Men That Do"? Surely the one to cover, given it rewrote much of what we saw in the finale and set-up the Romulan War.

It takes a few days to produce, costs a few thousand to sort and can then be streamed through Audible.

I mean, if CBS gave a shit about this glaring omission, they could go one stage further and illustrate with a few pictures while listening, turn it into a serialised webcast on the Star Trek.com site. I'd much prefer CBS invested in former cast members bringing pages from novels to life every week, rather than lending their voices to online games.

Similarly, my usage of "dudes" isn't gender specific. It's like saying "friend" or "pal" or whatever when I call someone "dude."

It's certainly not offensive. I've always had it taken exactly as meant...a friendly nickname essentially.

Excellent idea! Enterprise really does deserve more. CBS are you listening? And I would pay to listen to Connor Trinneer read a grocery list....seriously.

Never say never I guess, but probably not?

If it did ever come back it'd probably be some kind of limited run series, like planned six episode thing.

TBH, I'd rather see a post-Voyager show than a revival. And if I did see old characters come back I'd like it in the form of some kind of anthology series where they can randomly bring back known characters whenever they feel like.

I liked Enterprise seasons 3-4, but IMO, the first two seasons are far worse than anything else called 'Star Trek'. Including the poor seasons of the other shows.

I wish Enterprise could be revived if they can revive Stargate origions as a 10 part Miniseries with Connor Trinneer as an archeologist coming out February 15, 2018 it sure seems like they could do that with Enterprise as a series too.

Forgive me if I offend unintentionally; I am a newbie. While it is not in my DNA to do so, I wrote a feature length film script with the intention not only of serving as the seeds of a great film, but also a reboot of Enterprise. The script is registered. I have proof that Michael Greene and Associates have solicited my script. I sent it to them by email along with two short gif files months ago, but did not receive a response. Greene represents John Billingsley, the actor who played Dr. Phlox. Naturally, I would like to share my script with all of you. I have no interest in fame or fortune. I simply want the film made and a reboot of the series, Enterprise. Suffering with a blood cancer that took my grandfather and two cousins, I don't have an indefinite amount of time. Thank you for reading. If there is a way within the rules to share the script and two gif files, I would like to learn about it. I truly believe that others will agree with me that the film must be made and the reboot spawned.

    Welcome, MDwyer!:)

If you're looking for a good way to share your work with your fellow fans, you might consider posting in the Fanfiction forum. But if you're hoping to sell your spec script, it might be better to keep it out of the public eye as you endeavor to get it to the right people at CBS. Best of luck to you. :bolian:
