I just had a terrible, awful, no-good idea, straight out of the darkest depths of fan fiction as I was taking a shower... Gabrielle Burnham was thrown back to ancient Vulcan, lost her temporal tether, and her time suit was irreparably broken. She couldn't have possibly known if Discovery was successful in stopping Control, so in lieu of other options, she recruited some pre-Awakening Vulcans as a last-ditch effort, to keep the knowledge of what she saw in the dark future and pass it on to the coming generations so that they could stay vigilant and be ready to stop anything that could eventually become Control before it got too dangerous. She's the Zhat Vash version of Entil'Zha Valen and the secret group she created became a villainous version of the Rangers.

Maybe it's a sign that I haven't been sleeping well for the last few days.

I was the guy saying there was NO WAY Captain Lorca was going to be a MU bad guy, despite the fan theories.

I also KNEW that Michael Burnham would absolutely not turn out to be the Red Angel when people started saying that too.

I'm also pretty sure they won't link Control to PIC.

Isn't Control technically linked to all of the series at this point?

It was able to travel through time.

Wait, shouldn't The Man Who Sold The World be the Bowie song for this thread?

If it’s the proper Control from the books, bring it on.

Damn. So if we ever get the remasters of DS9, VOY, and ENT, they'll "pull a Lucas" and insert Control into each of them?

DS9 would have it beaten within one episode, all you have to do is put it in a room with Quark and Rom for like half an hour and it will surrender peacefully

Sadly, this sounds legit. I mean, everything in the universe somehow went back to Burnham, and now that they time-travel... And I could totally see them steling from B5.

Haven't read the thread yet, but I take it everyone agrees with me that bringing back Control for Picard is a great idea.
